In short: Well organised race, nice scenery, surprising number of spectators giving plenty of encouragement along the way. A perfect antidote to a busy day!

In short: As always, an enjoyable mid-week event with some improvements this time.
In full: I've made the comment before that I regularly use this route in training so I shouldn't really be excited about it.

However I really enjoyed this event again last night (my fourth time running, and I have marshalled once). It's not that hard to see why - it is well organised and the introduction of 'seeding pens' at the start was a big improvement on previous years.

It is extremely well marshalled with lots of encouragement all the way round and two drinks stations. Thanks also to all the locals who made the effort to come and spectate.

It always attracts a diverse group of runners and it's nice to bump into people I know in the area. A useful and pretty memento in the form of a water bottle is a lot better than a medal.

One thing I would add is that the new route is an improvement and quite a lot safer I would say, virtually traffic free and avoiding Wharf Road. I hope the organisers stick with it.

Not really a PB course with a long uphill section at the end and lots of twists and turns. But the good points more than make up for the bad, so I expect and hope the Lethbridge 10k is a regular in my race diary every year.

In short: Great local run - could do with medal to top it offf...
In full: First time doing Lethbridge, and will certainly do it again. I know few people have gripes about start times, but its minor considering how everything else went really well. For e.g. starting pretty much on time depsite the torrential downpour (organisers of Bath HM take note). Great atmosphere and great PB potential.

In short: cramped at the start but otherwise excellent - special thanks to all the marshalls who bravded the rain but kept smiling .
In full: The start was a little cramped, quess this cannot be helped because of the new course, but the start line should have been more obvious. Other than that the course and organisation was excellent. The marshalls in particular were brilliant, everyone with a word of encouragement - thank you.

In short: Good race over a new course
In full: Had a mare with my Garmin due to the rain, but managed to go sub 40 for the first time. It was a bit confusing at the start but no concerns once you got going and well marshalled.

In short: Great new course (apart from the start) - well done to the Friends of Lethbridge!
In full: Great race despite the rain. Marshalls were excellent. Only criticism is the narrow start - shame we weren't under the bridge when the heavens opened!!

In short: Start was a disaster, but still a very enjoyable run
In full: To be fair to the organisers, the route had to be re-designed due to a motorway bridge no longer being in existence, meaning the start line had to be moved forward.

Unfortunately this meant the start was very crowded and congested, and judging by my offical time vs my watch time meant it took about a minute to cross the line (although I couldn't make out precisely where this was)! It also meant I was unable to get any speed or momentum in the first kilometre, which should have been faster as it was downhill.

These problems notwithstanding, a very enjoyable midweek run and I agree with one of my club members that the new course is an improvement with more twists and turns.

Full credit to the organisers as well for providing a useful and interesting memento in the form of a kit bag, which makes a change from yet another t-shirt or medal!
