In short: Well organised, interesting route with PB potential
In full: I really enjoyed the 16 mile race. There were plenty of water stations and the route was easy to follow. The start and finish were well organised.
I will do this one again, the early start meant traffic wasn't a problem.
Only one slight problem was where the route was following the pavement shared with cyclists and I was nearly taken out by one next to a water station!
Also as it is such a fast race, perhaps a half marathon marker would be nice, I know i smashed my half time but I don't know by how much!

In short: Great, well organised run. Flat route and fast.
In full: I never been to Kingston before but knew the race was in High St somewhere so I got dropped off outside Bentalls by 7am. I was looking for signs about the race but there was nothing. I got very nervous but luckily bumped into a friendly marshall who showed me the way. Make sure you know where you're going! Once I got there, it all went smoothly. I didn't have to queue for toilet (helps to get there early though), it started on time, marshalls were very encouraging, they controlled the traffic at major road junctions, good water stations with water and lucozade. I liked the mug and goodies at the end. Very well organised. Only thing was no enthusiasm from passer-bys and would prefer if traffic was closed off. Running through Bushey Park was lovely though. I will be back in April and attempt 16miles....

In short: Great early morning run along the towpath
In full: Thank you to marshalls - thought they did a great job, encouraging runners, dealing with the traffic etc.
Agree with comments about the value - it is pretty steep.

In short: Scenic run
In full: Enjoy the early start. A shame that the mile markers were removed so early, last one I saw was 13 miles. Not much crowd support and quite a few marshalls didn't even smile let alone give encouragement. Nice flat course, great pb potential.

In short: Very good
In full: I love this (local to me) race. Once again the weather was perfect and once again the queue for the bogs was long. A new PB made it special.

In short: Really enjoyable - excellent organisation, helped by perfect running weather.
In full: My two abiding memories from this will be:
1) going over Kingston Bridge and down the tow path, hearing the pounding of many runners feet in time, and being part of that, and
2) my leg cramping about ten yards from the end, and earlier finishers shouting at me to hop and keep going - many thanks!
It was great to feel part of the much larger running community.

In short: Thanks to all the supporters, you were great!
In full: I finished the 16 mile course rather disappointed, whilst the support was great, particularly the old lady near 2 miles who said "Go on you brave, couragous fools!". I feel ripped off, in know there's a credit crunch but £22 pounds and all I get is a mug and a bottle of Lucozade? come on event organisers, pull your finger out for a medal/T-shirt and goody bag, Unfortunatley I doubt I'll be doing this one again unless you drop the price by about £8.

Well done everyone though, there was a good field and I had familiar company most of the way round.

In short: Fast, friendly race, but buy does it feel early!
In full: The Kingston run is very nice run, taking in bits of the Thames, Hampton Court, and the like, and as such, gives you a fair amount to look at, as well as being pretty much flat (except for the Kingston and Hampton court bridges), so is a lovely run, apart from having to pull myself out of bed whilst dark!

I’d recommend the 8.2 mile race to anyone who wants to stretch themselves past a 10 km race, as it seems like an ideal race to up your distances, but haven’t tried the 16 mile yet…
