In short: Top marathon In full: Tough but fantastically organised and supported. Scenery stunning and a real sense of achievement when crossing the finish line after pushing physical and mental barrier. Date of review: October 30, 2012
In short: I will be back someday! In full: If there wasn't so many marathons available to us I would do this one every year. I enjoyed every part of it from the organizers and helpers to the course and off course stunning views. Even the hills were enjoyable!!! Date of review: October 30, 2012
In full: Finally, the sun came out for the Snowdonia Marathon! Excellent organisation and camaraderie as always. The great weather made the views more spectacular than ever and it was a real treat being able to finish the race with dry feet. If there's one marathon you'll ever do, make it this one! In short: Another fantastic race - with weather to match this year! In full: My 6th consecutive run but the first without been blown away and drenched!! Seeing Snowdon itself whilst running was also a first, but nearly made me fall over on the descent from Pen-Y-Gwryd - my own fault for looking up rather than down!! Great organisation as usual from the organising team and wonderful support as ever around the course: huge thanks to all the marshals and volunteers at the feed stations who were standing out for hours in a cold northerly wind to help us in our hours of madness! Interesting change to gels at the stations - I preferred the segments of energy bars that have been used over the previous three years, and this year found I was running on empty later on in the race. Other than that simply superb camaraderie and support from fellow runners that help to make this event the friendliest in the UK!! Back next year for number 7, and probably more wind and rain.....
In short: Found myself cursing up some of the hills - but now the pain is easing..WHAT A RACE In full: Only my second marathon - 40 members of Black Pear Joggers joined up to support the first person from our club, Stuart Wild, to complete 100 marathons. Blessed with unusually glorious weather the course was challenging - hard inclines that got steeper, downhills that got faster but overall thoroughly enjoyable and an icon race to complete Date of review: October 30, 2012
In short: Awesome In full: My first Marathon and what a race. Absolutely brilliant the organisation was perfect, water station every 3 miles, locals out on the streets giving great support and three killer hills. Throw in perfect weather and you have a day to remember. Date of review: October 29, 2012
