In short: My first marathon felt great finishing on the running track
In full: my first marathon I thought the organisation and the marshalling was second to none I special thanks to the villagers that came out to cheer us on.There is a advantage for finishing near tail end as the grandstand was full of cheering spectators and the showers were empty

In short: Loved it!!
In full: Really well organised, nice and flat (just a few little inclines), lots of water stations (unfortunatly plastic cups though). A large enough number of runners that you were never on your own but not too many to slow you down. Lots of marshalls who were very encouraging. Wasnt keen on the lap of the track at the end as I got overtaken by 5 people so got some stick about that from hubby!!

In short: Superb event
In full: I personally don't care about scenery. If you want a flat, fast course, clockwork organisation, a cracking atmosphere, stadium start and finish, quick (chip timed) results, a decent medal and a course that is good for spectators then do this race.

In short: Great support on a course that's designed for PBs
In full: I've seen and heard plenty of people raving about this race and now it's easy to see why. From the stadium start (and finish) right through to the excellent marshalls and enthusiastic support along the route it's a great day out. Good job Abingdon Amblers!

In short: Fast course, great finish, well organised, excellent marshalling
In full: This course is as flat as they get short of running round a track for 26.2 miles - when the only comments on surprising inclines refer to the one coming out from under the subway, you know it's flat! As such, it has excellent PB potential - look on the thread for the evidence. Marshalling was top notch - no danger of getting lost or being run over. Was a bit less scenic in parts than I thought it would be, but through the villages and the tracks made for a good varied course. Only minor quibble was the proximity of the car park, but it really is a very minor one. Overall, spot on.
