In short: Very Challenging but Excellent race and vastly different from normal road runningg
In full: Race was well organised and though tough there was a friendly atmosphere throughout. Drink stations were well stocked with jelly babies and jaffa cakes. A good event for those looking for something a bit different.

In short: Very very tough, but excellent race - a must do race
In full: Amazingly tough, but absolutely brilliant race. A massive thanks must go to Dr Rob for organising such a great race and the marshalls. Probably the best marshalls support i have ever had in a race.
There was a small problem with the route on the first lap of the Picnic, but this can happen to the best of races (e.g Windsor Tri 2008) so in my opinion this does not detract from whatwas otherwise a brilliantly organised race.

In short: A special event
In full: My fourth Trionium Box hill event and again met all my expectations. With his quintessentially British eccentricity (check those boxer shorts and panama hat not to mention the perfunctory rendition of God Save the Queen) Dr Rob is becoming something of a cult figure in the running world down South. For those of us that love the hills there's not much on offer down this part of the country so these races are a godsend. I regarded the Picnic as hard as any ultra up North that I've done if only because of the merciless steps. Cheers Dr Rob for organising this race and allowing amateur runners like myself a day to remember. Come on, make this an annual event!
