In short: Third time I've run this, though course is now slightly different. Lovely location, well organised, virtually traffic free on estate roads. Forgot about the challenging climbs but worth it for that run down towards the house and the nice medal. Date of review: February 3, 2013

In short: Worth the 130 mile round trip In full: Excellent race. Well organised, good location, plenty of friendly marshals, spectator friendly course and great goody bag (I LOVE the lion head medal!) The hills are challenging but the downhills make it worthwhile, especially the downhill/flat sprint finish towards the house...and I got a PB so the hills can't have been that bad! Will be back next year, thanks 2:09 events for a super race :-) Date of review: February 3, 2013

In short: Excellent organisation, very pretty views, a few steady hills. In full: My first 10k for over a year. A good race to shake out the cobwebs and the organisation was super slick. Date of review: February 3, 2013

In short: Tough for a first-timer! In full: This was my first proper race and the first time I have ever ran 10k (even in training)! I can't fault the organisation, everything seemed to go off without a hitch, and it was great to get a print out of your race stats as you cross the line! It's a beautiful but tough course with 3 tough hills, but despite this I really enjoyed it and will be back next year to beat my time. Date of review: February 16, 2012

In short: Amazing race, magnificent scenery, brilliantly organised - can't fault In full: This was my first time at Longleat. I've done one road 10k previously and a few trail runs so wasn't sure what to expect. The signs for parking at the event were very clear with plenty of parking. The set up of the race with sub 40 then sub 45 etc was such a good idea as we could start where we felt comfortable. There were a lot of 'serious runners' so I was a little scared of coming last. However I got round in 1 hour 4 minutes (so not quite last). The three hills were challenging but were manageable to run up. I thought the ground was exceptionally clear considering the snow fall the day before. I ran in trainers and was fine. I thought the marshals were fantastic - very encouraging. The crowd were great. The last 1k was brillinat - downhill all the way to the finish. Fab goody bag and medal and exact time logged. Highly recommend. Bargain. Will definitely be back next year. I have never been to an event before that was so well organised. Date of review: February 7, 2012

In short: I LOVE THIS RACE! In full: Given the icy hills I actually knocked 9 (!) Mins off last years time and now have a new 10k pb!
The toilets are toilets.....I don't know what people expect. As the weather the day before was snowy I thought the course was actually remarkably clear. The organisation was good and the medal was 100 times better than last year. I've had worse goody bags but then the bag isn't the reason why I run!
I will run this race again and again and again! Date of review: February 7, 2012
