In short: Amazing organisation, scenery and value (on behalf of MattieS)
In full: MattieS says: This is my 2nd Bewl 15 run and the marshalling and organisation is even better than my last run.

The race is a challenge but just as I like it with plenty of marshals to show the way and copious amounts of bottled water and sports drink, sponges, jelly babies and slices of orange.

I did ask Albert for tea and coffee at the finish and, guess what, not only were they provided but free too. I love a cup of tea especially after a hard run. I did save some room for several small glasses of the free Harvey's beer. Shame we did not have the sunshine like last year to sit and relax and listen to the Brass band, while tucking into the cakes. My children adored the medal.

In short: Lovely views between rain drops
In full: Enjoyed all this event, even the mud bath at 1.5 miles, just that rain in the last mile that chilled me too much to even want the free beer or cake!!

In short: Superb race, scenic, great organisation, well recommended.
In full: My 3rd time at this event and as always, it is superb. Organisation is almost perfect, the route of the race is varied, scenic and in the last 5 miles, challenging. First 10 miles are relatively flat around the lake and can be run quick as the tracks are quite wide.

Great support all the way round in terms of drinks stations, friendly Marshalls and other helpers.

Great to have access to changing, showers & toilets. Issues with water pressure beyond the control of the organisers and nothing to do with them. This should not be seen as a 'negative' to the whole event.

The range of cakes and drinks at the end is fantastic. My primary reason for coming back again and again to do this race. Of course, the fabulous scenery is a bonus. A pity the weather was a let down this year, which made the conditions underfoot sometimes difficult as it was quite muddy in places.

A great range of prizes and a well stuffed 'goodie bag' with a gold medal for the first 100 finishers a nice touch.

Great to have regular pre-race e-mail updates.

Toilet facilities will always be an issue whatever race you go to. It is just something that we all have to deal with and anticipate and plan for. I've done hundreds of races and they all have a lack of bogs. Shouldn't be a detraction to the event and seen as a negative aginst the organisers.

Many thanks to everyone involved in making this a fantastic race and the time given to make it happen. It deserves to be in the top 10 of races in the UK and i hope that it can continue with its success.

Put it in your calendar for next year! At £17 it is a bargain.

In short: Wicked
In full: Great organisation all round, especially the pre-event emails. The course was very tough with changes in scenery and terrain every few minutes. Hills towards the end were more than challenging but managed not to stop.

A great atmosphere and friendly marshalls and drink stations. The drink stations were great, offering isotonic drinks and jelly babies. Nice to sink a quick beer at then end too!

Looking forward to next year to try and beat my time.

In short: Challenging and scenic, and great organisation.
In full: I have wanted to do this race since 2008, but have had to wait due to having 3 knee operations. It was worth the wait. Great organisation, that Albert Kemp sends some lovely pre-run emails, beautiful run, fantastic support, loads of water, sport drinks, jelly babies, cheerful fellow runners, sponges, cakes and beer! Yes it was challenging, especially with the rain making life slippery underfoot, but the run was always going to be a challenge for all anyway. shame you had to watch the ground so often so as not to slip over instead of looking at the reservoir and its trout fisherman, but you cant blame anyone for that. The race is superb. OK, slight knock backs, abeit slight, the loo's before hand in the college were impossible to get to as the queues were horrendous. Mens loos I mean! I hate to think how bad the ladies must have been. Amd how exactly were we meant to get back to the train station? Great idea having a van pick us up before the start, thanks for that, but after a couple of pints in the greyhound after the run we had a long slow walk back to the train station only guessing which way to go. Didnt see a bus anywhere either. Oh well, did well to stretch anyway. Oh, and also to the others who mentioned low water pressure in the showers and problems with tea in "tasty baps" van afterwards, that was because of a water pipe problem at the college apparently and "tasty bap" van ran out of water for the tea urn. see you next year.
