In short: Best race in the calendar!
In full: Quite simply a must for all running enthusiasts! Already looking forward to next years event! The organisation was faultless, the marshalls were in plentiful supply and found each of them very supportive. The water stations were each as well stocked as a supermarket drinks aisle and the cakes at the end were worth the entrance fee alone! Not to mention the scenery and route itself which were exactly to the standards that sparked my interest in running in the first place!!

In short: Tough but huge sense of achievement afterwards
In full: In a strange masochistic way, i really enjoyed this race. The scenery was lovely. The shady parts under the trees were very welcome as it was hot, hot, hot! The hills up those country roads swallowed me up and spat me out in pieces.I had to walk in places which i have never done in a race before. My legs still hurt 2 days later.
The cakes, medal and goodie bag at the end were excellent. My 3 children loved the children's entertainer at the Greyhound pub- great idea to provide this. Well done to the organisers.

In short: well organised with a few twists and turns
In full: a memorable race from start to finish, lovely scenery around the course just enough shade through the woods so not to overheat too much the sponges and bottled water helped a lot . the last 4 miles caught me out a bit with some nice hills reducing me to a shuffle at the end . the cake stall , band playing and goodie bag made the trip from dorset well worth it.thanks to wardhurst runners.

In short: Warm and Friendly
In full: On the 10th Aniversary of this race the sun came out yet again to make this a really challenging race. The pleasant surrroundings and excellent marshalling made me glad I did this after eight weeks of not running . Wadhurst Runners have set the standard this year with goodie bag - cakes- medal and a towel plus Band and plenty of drinks . Thanks to everyone

In short: hot, challenging, and great fun
In full: where do I start? Fantastic organisation - from entering online and getting info/updates for months in advance, to the cakes, jelly babies, shower half way round, great goody bag including a towel and just generally very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. But the course was tougher than I thought it was going to be (it was my first time), especially with the sun beating down. I'll be there next year.

In short: A very special event on this 10th Anniversary year
In full: This was a hard race given the warm weather and additional distance. Yes it did make me ache in new places - I've never had cramp in 2 calfs and 1 hamstring all at once...and only at around 12 miles too. I had no such trouble in the Canterbury or Seaford Half Marathons or the North Downs 30k this year. Perhaps it was racing to get to the 1st stile before the queue started?

In short: Definitely be looking out for this one in 2010
In full: Hot & testing with barely a few 100 metres of level ground on whole course. Loved the towel could have done with water rather than sponges at 9/10 miles otherwise well done. PB potential as distance rarely run !
