In short: Well worht the entrance fee to a very organised, well paced and wonderful scenic race. In full: An extremely well organised event, glorious scenery and yes, some hills making part of the challenge. The marshalling was the best I have expereinced to date and well placed water stations. I was uplifted with the Tunbridge Wells community who applauded us along the way. Congratulations to organisers and Tunbridge Wells! I'll be back next year! Date of review: February 26, 2007

In short: Great scenery, great encouragement from marshalls In full: Thank you to the marshall that talked us through the map of the route, sorry to the marshall who I didn't believe when he told me it was flat from now on at about mile 11, I had heard it before so was cynical but the poor man was only trying to encourage me. Dame Kelly Holmes was excellent she wished everyone luck & a good race even thoses of us at the back and gave us a fabulous smile. My time was slow - I blame the hill but I enjoyed it & will be back Date of review: February 26, 2007

In short: Tough run but greta prep for London. Hill in middle should not be underestimated!! Scenary lovely. In full: This is only my 4th Half and I have to say i did enjoy it. Having done a fair bit of training for the London Marathon, I felt in good shape going into this but did not expect to get a very good time. Everyone started off exceptionally quickly and I found myself running at a pace that would take over 8 minutes off my PB!! The first 6 miles are predominantly down-hill. However, the hill just after 6 miles really sorts you out. I quite like hill running and plan it into my training, however I did underestimate the length and steepness of this. Everyones pace simply dies up this thing and I found myself passing people even though i was only just travelling above walking pace. A 6.45 min/mile soon became 7.05 min/mile average by the time i reached the top. Whilst i finished with 2 minutes off my PB, i do wish i had taken it a bit easier at the start, however with all the downhills its easier said than done. Overall, i thought it was really well organised, very pituresque, and a nice atmosphere amongst the runners.....although it is one of the harder races I have done. Date of review: February 26, 2007

In short: Challenging, great scenery, better atmosphere! In full: Managed to get a good PB, would've been even better had I realised when the Hill materialised - never really recovered! Great scenery, great marshalling and good atmosphere provided by the runners and the people of Tunbridge Wells. Looking forward to Hastings! Date of review: February 26, 2007

In short: Really well organised race, even the prizes were presented on time! There is a tough hill at mile7/8, so your legs feel pretty tired for the last few miles! Date of review: February 26, 2007

In short: There are much better half marathons out there In full: Distinctly unimpressed with the amount of traffic we had to contend with, especially on the "big hill" where we had a mile long climb while breathing in the diesel fumes of a volvo which was travelling pu the hill at the same speed. There were quite a few occasions where we were forced into single file due to traffic conditions which was frustrating at times. Date of review: February 26, 2007
