In short: Loved my first organised 10k. The Marshalls were superb, really supportive
In full: I loved todays run, despite the awful weather. The Marshalls in particular were great, really organised and supportive.

In short: A shinning example of a fab 10k run, welll done Wargrave
In full: A very enjoyable run, the rain added to the enjoyment, and it did not dampen the support and enthusiasm of the marshalls around the course. a first timer for Wargrave and one of the best in my view

In short: What rain?
In full: This was my very first event and enjoyed it immensely. Managed a sub 50, which is what I was hoping for for my first 10k, so very happy. :)

The terrific organization make this a great race to take part in from a runners perspective, and really helped to calm any pre-race worries for this first timer. Clear markers for the duration of this slightly undulating course, which is challenging enough to keep it interesting throughout, and encouraging marshals who kept smiling despite the rain.

A big thank you to all of those involved and who make this race happen!

Would love to do this event again, with or without rain (I actually liked the rain), so hopefully see you next year for a new PB.

In short: Well-organised, great local race
In full: A challenging-enough course was made easier with more runner-friendly weather this year than last, and once over the hill in mile 3, it's mostly flat or downhill all the way home. Had enough left for a sprint finish to bring me in with a PB of over a minute, so very pleased.
Course was well-signposted, three water stations is good for a 10k, and the start finish area was very well organised. Will be back next year to make it 3 in a row.

In short: For my first race this was fantastic. It was very well organized with clear markers and plenty of marshalls, and the T-shirts were nice to.

In short: Love this race! The only thing to fault was the weather!
In full: This is my fourth year of running Wargrave 10K and by far my favourite 10K. The organisation and the friendliness of the event makes this a must for anyone wanting to run a 10K. The only think different from the last 3 years was the weather and it felt more like a November morning than mid June! That said and once Paul Daniels had sounded the starting horn (even his magic couldn't bring a glimpse of sunshine), the race was its normal "enjoyable" event with glorious country roads and the occasional hill. It is hilly in places particularly the first half of the race but also personal best potential. I achieved my personal best improving by 3 minutes from last year to come in at 42.37 but I must say a big thank you to a fellow runner who ran alongside me for the last 4K and we kept each other going to both achieve personal bests! See you next year Wargrave and thanks for another wonderful event fantastically organised as ever!

In short: A wet Wargrave for once!..
In full: Damp, but far from dreary this year, and the hills were still there to catch out the weary traveller!..

This was my first time here and found the course to be not as tough as was billed, so maybe it was all that rain that kept me cool and the cold kept me going as I managed to gain a rare PB for the distance. The undulations were certainly there, but there were a few ‘PB Boosting’ down-hill stretches which certainly did not go a miss and the friendly marshals (and soggy scouts) braved the conditions admirably; so thank you very much, Wargrave Runners, for hosting this excellent event and hope that it is bright and sunny for you next year. Me? I think that from now on I prefer the rain …

A really well organised and interesting, rural route.
