In short: My sister & I missed the start as we were stuck in the queue for the ladies for 20mins. A very enjoyable race with some challenging hills. Just let down by the ambitious attempt to start a 10K & half marathon simultaneously & very poor chip timing.

In short: Same as always, good race with some organisational problems.
In full: This race is great vfm and a good hard workout, however, with some attention to detail it could be even better.
1) More toilets need to be organised - get some portaloos in (quite a few).
2) Lining up for the start is haphazard - pens are not necessary, but a few stakes in the ground with predicted times on would be a start.
3) Several of the 10k runners were sent the wrong way and I believe the banner wasn't raised over the finishing line as the winner crossed (had to be held up).
4) Given that the race was chipped the announcement of the results was particularly abysmal. It should be quite straightforward to see who has won what. A bit more haste in the rain would have been appreciated.

Having said all that though I will definitely be back.

In short: A tough start with a large hill but after that a good course and well run
In full: My second half marathon after the much-flatter Reading course just over a year before. A tougher course with more hills (particularly the first one, quite steep so training is needed) but I managed to shave a few minutes off my previous time.
Well organised and lots of stewards and water stations, plenty of goodies in the winners bag with a very nice medal and free t-shirt!

In short: Nice route with a killer hill to start
In full: With this being an established race, you would have thought that they would have provided enough toilets, but with only 7 between all the girls, I queued for 30 mins and only just made it to the start before we were off. The course was good; interesting with a bit of a challening hill, but despite the weather, enjoyable and the marshalls were friendly. One disappointment was that the 'chips' were on the number, they didn't seem to be any system at the start for when you crossed the line and at the end, you were scanned by one of two people holding a scanner. This all led to my 'chip' time being 20 seconds longer than my actual run, and having worked hard to run under 58 minutes, this then put me over it. The goody bags were good though. Overall, a good race but a little more attention to detail wouldn't go amiss.

In short: Fun, well organised, thank god for clouds/rain!
In full: Perfect wet weather for runners (not so much for spectators).
A pleasant suprise that you didn't have to run up the road part of Marlow Hill- excellent diversion through the Abbey grounds.
Starting the 10k & half separately (as advertised) would have been much better, along with time pens (although difficult for a relatively small race admittedly).
T-shirt relatively useless as garish and not technical, goody bag & medal were excellent.
Bag drop was not advertised anywhere (in race booklet/on website) and was more "bag drop and hope" as there was no security- fingers crossed for those who did
Great marshalling. Great value for money.

In short: A good race at an excellent venue
In full: A really good race, very well organised. Good bits: brilliant location for start and finish, excellent medal and goody bag. Many thanks to the organisers, marshalls and supporters.

Things to improve: the 10K/HalfMara split made more visible, more marshalling between miles 10 and 12 where there was no pavement and moving traffic. More toilets too would help.

In short: Lovely day despite rain
In full: Great organisation, goody bag, nice hill (same as last year) and some great live reggae at the finish. Despite rain it still remains one of the 'essential 1/2M races' imho.

In short: Tough half marathon
In full: Well organised race with plenty of water stops. This is a tough half marathon with the hill at the start and the long incline (approx 9km) from Bourne End to the finish, which can be deceiving.
