In short: My 1st mutli-terrain, excellent race, very muddy which can only be good for the skin. Will do this one again next year.

In short: Very well organised race and an excellent goodie bag at the end. Rest of the family enjoyed the fun run before the main race. Must be supersonic fit to beat the tram. Fantastic morning out. Great mix of terrain inc some lovely short steep climbs

In short: Hardest 10K I've done ... but the most fun !
In full: Travelled from the Midlands to do this race ... my 1st multi-terrain, and certainly won't be the last.

Location, organisation & atmosphere were brilliant. Fantastic setting for the race.

Never had a hope of beating the tram ( I think only 2 managed it )

Brilliant contrasting race of 2 halfs ... 1st half on the road ( but hilly ), 2nd half very hilly ... over fields, ash paths, muddy banks, a stream, a style & lots of mud at the end.

Goody bag at the end was excellent ... a mug is much more use that yet another medal or T-shirt.

Definately doing it again next year.

In short: Challenge!
In full: Second time at this race and enjoyed it once again. It was very well organised and an excellant route. However, it is very very hard and hilly. Go on test yourself!!!!

In short: A definate challenge!!!
In full: I turned up even with a nasty chest infection, and thought I might pass out half way round, however I did it. I wasn't expecting the mad off road experience, or jumping over a beck, and the sliding around in huge puddles of mud wasn't funny! Even with all this i'd give it another go next year, it was really nice to run through Beamish, one of my all time favourite museums.

In short: Excellent race - well organised, friendly marshalls and an original setting. Plus the weather smiled on us! If it's your first time then increase your hill and very off road training beforehand - you'll thank yourself for it!

In short: What happened to the weather?
In full: I got absolutely soaked, I was slower than last year, my legs ached and the hills got steeper. I know I'm older but hey I'm supposed to be fitter! I had a great time despite the weather, I'll be back nest year work permitting

In short: Extremely enjoyable multi-terrain race, seemed to be more uphills than downhills. Very encouraging support from all of the marshals. Most runners seemed to be in high spirits despite the constant drizzle. Definetly recommended and will do it again
