In short: Much Better than expected... the race itself and my time.
In full: Interesting course, well marshalled, even the hills weren't too extreme, except the sharp one just after 7 miles!
Not an ideal track for a pb I would guess but I still managed to do mine,so there must be some off-set on those downhills.
Agree with the coment about marshalling over the last mile or so but it feels a bit like nitpicking after such an allround splendid little race.I know that next year the numbers will no doubt tripple again and it will lose something but I have every intention of lining up again.

In short: Another satisfied customer...
In full: Doubted my wisdom at 7am this morning, wiping the ice off my car 70 miles from the race but it was well worth it. For once the adjective "interesting" meant tough but pleasurable. The cattle grids and cows added to the day.
But hey, it was uphill but there were some fast downhill parts too ( sometimes too fast).
I reckon it added 5 minutes to my time as I generally romp in just under 1hr 40 - 1hr 43 today. Great day, see you next year.

In short: Nice small race will be back next year now I know what to expect!
In full: Shame there was no water left by the time I got to the finish!!! Also could have done with more marshalls for the last half mile or so on the busy road through the town centre. Otherwise cheery marshalls, lovely scenery, challenging course, great atmosphere, will be back! Iced buns at the end next year please...

In short: This has the potential to be a very popular race.
In full: Very nice race,very challenging without being stupidly difficult quite hilly in places,but had the best looking stewards i've seen in a long time!

In short: Excellent Half Marathon
In full: This is probably one of the best all round half marathons I have done this year. The organisation has been superb, no parking problems or toilet queues, the scenery was excellent and the course was a real mix of flat, hills and a couple of steep hills!,the marshalls were very encouraging and cheery especially on such a cold day. Big congratulations to the organisers. I'll definetley be back next year...oh yeah, the cuppa and the bun at the end was a real nice touch.
