In short: Brilliant!
In full: Couldnt disagree more with the previous comment, if off road isn't for you then don't do it! A wonderfully challenging but scenic race with just about everything. Incredible marking and organisation, Ill certainly be making the trip from West Yorkshire again next year. The fact I rarely rate a race is testament to how good this was. A perfect pre marathon training run.

In short: Dont like saying it but didnt like it, didnt enjoy it!
In full: Admittedly i started near the back but 5 times i had to stop in the first 2 miles to queue to get through kissing gates/styles etc couldnt get into any rhythm at all, Also i wouldnt recommend this race for anyone who has had knee or ankle ligament damage or broken ankles as i ve never known a race with so much uneven ground many of it on steep downhills or narrow paths with overhanging bushes. Really think this race just wasnt for me but not quite as difficult as i had been led to believe, just plain awkward & uncomfortable!

In full: Really enjoyed this race. Tough cookie though, but as said great area to run in, really loved it even though it was so tough. Great Value race a massive thank you to all who made it possible, but could you turn down the heat next year I was sweating.

In short: A brilliant day out!
In full: Leave your time expectations at home and you'll have a fantastic run on all types of terrain, climbing stiles and squeezing through dry stone walls. The course is well marked and marshalled and the catering back at the finish is superb! What's not to like?

In short: if you can't see the arrow markers the options is down the road
In full: What a great event - loved it, swift organisation, great route markers, fantastic checkpoints - plenty of water and jelly babies such a variety of up and down hill (it's only a hill) even the congestion at the start didn't matter. I could hardly fault it apart from the little road round the roundabout start which I didn't quite get. My garmin came in at 18.4 miles rather than 18 miles but heck who cares? Quite like the t shirt its different and a techy one at that.

In short: "Its only one lap and the farmers have removed most of the bulls!"
In full: Very good race as it is every year.Very good mix of people from the fast dudes to the runners on a easy one.Mostly climbing for the first 9miles then down for the rest apart from a great climb in the woods near the end.It is a tough race with a lot of guys having a shuffle towards the end.
Only little moan i have and mybe it is just me but the t-shirts with the cut off sleeves, only American cowboys should wear these.a nice cotton t-shirt or even a polo style and i would be proud to wear it.Still one of the best races in the area.
