In short: A great course with superb marshalling.
In full: The organisation of this race was exemplary. Marshals everywhere and they were all very positive and encouraging. Despite the hills, the scenery and general environment more than compensated.

In short: One of the best races of the year
In full: I love this race. It's beautiful, fantastically well organised and a true test. Thanks to the supportive and cheerful marshals. Only thing I would change this year (apart from the heat) was the new addition of unfunny "tired yet?" and "ouch! "signs through Shorne Woods. It's unnecessary and unworthy of such a professionally organised race.

In short: Cracking event, beautiful organisation
In full: The course is hard but the excellent aid stations, relentless support and the scenery get you round. Fantastic organisation and marshalling and a good atmosphere at the finish.

In short: HOT, HARD and HILLY!
In full: A really well organised race with a wonderful atmosphere from begining to end. It appeared to be run like clockwork by the local club and I really appreciated all the water and jelly baby stations. Another person with note to self to pace self better next year so I can enjoy it more, as the last 10km was a killer. Thanks Istead & Ifield, I'm now looking forward to Shorne in September.

In short: A beautiful way to die!
In full: Brutally tough course through glorious countryside. Perfect organisation, with free fruit and cakes at the end and great PA cheering everyone on to the finish. Top quality T shirt. I ran really badly this year - easily my worst performance at this event - but I'll definitely be back next year.

In short: Beautiful scenery but a tough course
In full: A beautiful sunny day with some breath taking scenery. Up to 24km the marshalling was fantastic. Friendly and encouraging comments, sponges to cool off, water and jelly babies. However, there were too many children running around at 24km. (roughly) So much so that there was no adult marshall and I ran past the water station and a lady in a car pointed me back in the right direction, which much to my dismay was back up a hill!!! I got back and little boy said to me "you went the wrong way"!! I was not impressed as this lost me time. Overall though, well organised and a lovely but challenging race. Would prefer a medal to a t-shirt which won't get worn.

In short: Can't believe I did it
In full: Entered on a whim, have NEVER done hills only a few coastal runs. Nearly gave up at 14k, but so glad I didn't - just loved the magical terrain & views. Very supportive runners and marshalls. Thank you - has significantly changed my perception of running.

In short: Excellent race. Beautiful scenery, very well marshalled, very friendly but a real killer on a hot day
In full: I love this race, have done it 5 times in a row and travelled all the way from Devon but it was worth it. As ever it was great fun and very friendly but the marshalling is outstanding - so many marshalls, lots of sponges/ drinks and jelly babies. This year felt extra tough as was hot and humid - plus I forgot how hard the last 10k is. Note to self - next year pace it better!
