In short: Testing course and all the better for that. In full: Running well requires great discipline - fast on the flat, minimise hurt on the hills and fly downhill. Get these wrong and its slow, get them right and its a great test. Date of review: March 17, 2015
In short: Great facilities, superb organisation, scenic course. In full: This was my 3rd HM and first time at this event. Really impressed with organisation and facilities - starting/finishing in a stadium is fantastic and I've never seen shorter toilet queues before a race.
Course itself has a lot of gentle downhills and some nice flat canal sections, but two very tough climbs. The first shortish, straightish, and steep, the second longer, windier, and nearly as steep. Some nice scenery that would have looked even nicer in the sun. Great marshalling/organisation. Felt like there was plenty of space on the course after the first few miles, without ever feeling alone.
Nice well-stocked goodie bag, nice t-shirt and a bonus to get a medal too.
Thanks to everyone involved! Date of review: March 17, 2015
In short: Great training run for the London Marathon in nice countryside In full: The organisation by everyone involved, the location, course route, facilities at the stadium, goodie bag, the cost and the relatively small number of runners made it fantastic experience to be part of for my first half marathon event. Definitely recommend it. Date of review: March 17, 2015
In short: Excellent friendly well organised race. In full: My third year of running this race and I managed a course pb despite the two killer hills. Well organised and friendly with no one being asked to drop out after 1.5 miles as far as I know. Great goody bag and it was a nice touch to have a medal this year with it being the 10th anniversary of the race. Date of review: March 17, 2015
In short: Well organised, scenic and great value. In full: You can't organise the weather but everything else is spot on. Friendly, good scenery, stadium start and finish, excellent facilties, Tech T-shirt, medal and goody bag. Great value, great race. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Date of review: March 17, 2015
In short: Great fun - congratulations to the organisers! In full: How fantastic to get a proper medal! Lots of us are getting a bit bored with the 'technical T - shirt' - let's face it, most runners have lots of these already ( Nevertheless yours was OK, by the way) but the medal was a super touch - we'll be back! In full: 1st time at this event and loved it. Very well organised, plenty of parking right next to the start / finish. Great support and marshalling all the way round and felt very safe having the road traffic management stopping the traffic at crossing points. Only 2 real hills to content with but they're tasty ones. Great facility to hold an event and such a boost to finish on the track in the stadium. Lovely t-shirt and goodie bag. This will be on the calendar for next year. Great value and very friendly, well done to all involved. Date of review: March 16, 2015
In short: One of the best races in the calendar! In full: Yet again this race delivered all you could wish from an event. A challenging course, brilliant organisation, fantastic pre and post race facilities all make this a must enter race. Date of review: March 16, 2015
In short: y favourite run. Views of Harlaxton manor, then onto the canal tow path before thebeatiful Belvoir castle pops up. Top facilities in the football stadium. Only drawback is it keeps clashing with Mothering Sunday which makes it a rush to do both Date of review: March 16, 2015
