In short: Tough, but fair In full: Great race to start the year with. Tough-ish course, which keeps the interest up all the year round. Very friendly marshalls (especially the dog in a high-viz vest!), but a shame the mist prevented us from fully enjoying the Downs. Momento was a bit rubbish - perhaps next year they could just take a couple of quid off the entry fee. Date of review: January 7, 2013
In short: a great way to welcome the new year In full: Very well organised event, loads of smiley marshalls and the surprise of what this years memento is going to be makes this a staple of my start of year calendar. Date of review: January 7, 2013
In short: nice atmosphere, well organised In full: It was a bit of a dreary day but most runners were in high spirits. This was my first race for 2013 and I found it really difficult managing the hills which went on for ever. I have only said I wont do it again because it was just too hard for me personally and I struggled to enjoy it knowing I was way off my normal pace. If you like a challenge then this is the race. Felt a bit cheated in not getting a medal after all that effort but the cool bag is CooL! Lots of support and smiling marshals giving lots of encouragement. Date of review: January 6, 2013
In short: Bit of a toughie for me as I struggle with hills, managed to shave 3 minutes off last years time though so quite pleased with that! nice little cooler bag as a momento, might come in handy for the sarnies! Date of review: January 6, 2013
In short: Great race - always a pleasure! In full: I have my PB on this course, so it's a PB course for me. Supportive marshals this year. Couldn't hear the starter (as usual) although I was fourth row back. Great facilities at the HQ. Good race! Date of review: January 6, 2013
In short: Well done Tadworth AC In full: Really enjoyed it today. Everything well organised, friendly cheerful marshals, plentiful water stations and lovely countryside to run in. What more do you need from a race? Date of review: January 6, 2013
In short: Not the one for a pb... In full: A nice little race around some nice countryside, villages and a racecourse. Well organised although a bit of a trek from the main carpark to the start. The marshals were plentiful and cheerful which is always a plus! The hill at the beginning and 5 miles later was a bit of a never ending beast and rules out a pb (for me at least!). Ultimately a good race that was well organised in a nice part of Surrey.
