In short: Superb organisation, flat course, excellent for first 20 mile race - ideal warm-up for FLM
In full: Thank you to Reading Road Runners for their outstanding organisation of every aspect and to all the marshals, police, St John's Ambulance and local speedgun vigilantes for their excellent support. The marshalling was first rate and ensured that the course was almost traffic free and safe to run.

Well done too to all those who staffed the drinks stations - these were evenly spaced along the course and it was great to have drinks available on both sides of the road. The jelly baby just after 15 miles was welcome as I was struggling to get by on 3 Go gels.

Mile markers were highly visible and accurate except maybe 7 and 17 miles which seems a shade long but maybe I was just a shade slow on those sections.

There was a remarkably large number of earthworms who chose Sunday morning to cross the course. A lot never made it although I did see the odd one that had had a rethink and made a u-turn!

The sheep, however, had no choice. The empty trailer lorry that fortunately stayed about 150 metres ahead of me around 7 miles returned the other direction on my second lap filled with sheep. Hope the runners on the first lap avoided being choked by diesel fumes or run off the road.

Chip collection and goody bags all sorted smoothly after the finish - thanks for the towel!

Tiny areas for improvement:
(1) more toilets adjacent to the parking areas
(2) distribute bag tags with race number + chip mailing
(3) make water availability obvious at the finish - had to dash off straight after finishing so maybe I just missed drinks after the line?

In short: Fantastic race although a bit of a trek to the car park. 1500 people entered so a nice size and a good group of competitors.

In short: A well organised race with an enjoyable course
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed the race and the course which was well marshalled and signed. The result service text to your phone was a great idea and saves you going on line. Thanks to all of the marshalls and the organisers.
Only gripe is that there must be far more toilets available, otherwise people have no choice but to use fields etc, and the parking area on the business park was too far away. A great warm up getting to the start but hell on the way back!

In short: Great race, well organised with a PB too!
In full: Superb race, which I thorougly enjoyed until the last mile which was probably down to my fitness. Atmosphere was good, excellantly organised. 2 hills which made you work and lots of huge worms to jump over!

Nice idea for the towel even if only to clean myself up before a brilliant massage from a French lady. Never had a massage after a race before but feel brilliant today! Will have 1 again
