In short: Great event, Fantastic Support and a Fantastic Stadium Finish
In full: As a first timer at Sheffield, I am very surprised at the amount of negative feedback. Admittedly some of the route around the town isn't the most aesthetically inspiring but the support was fantastic and the stadium finish unbeatable...... which poses some challenges for future event. Good luck in finding a new route!

In short: Good run, could be better?
In full: Leeds next year for me, perhaps after a break from Sheffield I'll get past its shortcomings and appreciate the fabulous support and the city centre sections which are just amazing to run through.
Unfortunately at the moment the shortcomings slightly outweigh the positives. Toilets bad (again), Drinks stations clumsy and difficult (again), missing medal from goodie bag (again!)... What is the point of feedback when the organisers never take it on-board? My other half did Manchester marathon in 2012 and it got negative feedback from a lot of runners. In 2013 it was apparently 10 times better addressing those same issues raised by the runners. Sheffield has the potential to be brilliant but the organisers just trot the same every year knowing we'll pay up and turn up. And we do! I’d like to see what happens with the new venue, who knows maybe I’ll be back sooner than I think (cough cough choose two different dates Leeds and Sheffield hmmmm?)

In short: decent race, worth running
In full: by far the worst toilets I've ever seen at a race start, truly disgusting. hopefully next year's venue will be better

that aside it's a decent race, a few hills but not too many and great support on eccleshall road

In short: Better than last time I did it.
In full: As a resident of the Steel City, I`ve not been the greatest supporter of this race but today was a really good event.
Lots of moans about toilets but there are plenty of toilets in the stadium but there was a lack of signage (it was clear in pre-race info though) so runners were queueing for the ones nearest to the reception, delaying the race start. A great shame that the stadium will no longer be the race base.
Crowd support was the best I`ve witnessed and Eccy Road is inspiring. Lots of water stations but none with sports drinks but who really cares. Goody bag was better than I`d got previously for this race with tech t-shirt, good medal and I like the wristband plus a healthy snack and sweets.
Next year will be a big challenge for the race and Hillsborough is the obvious candidate.

In short: Ecclesall Road makes this race
In full: The Pros: Plenty of free parking; a good medal and technical t-shirt (and sweatband!); brilliant support along Ecclesall Road
The Cons: Late start; the toilet situation at Don Valley

In short: A tired race that needs a revamp
In full: Pretty boring, but quick, course. Dull for 80% but good on the town
Don Valley closing could be the best thing if the course is completely revamped to take in more of the city centre crowds.

A bit dull

In short: Started late which sums it up
In full: Great support in city centre which made me proud to be a Sheffielder, however the route on the whole is dire does not show Sheffield in a good light.
Usual issue with cups at drink stations, started late which is a bit naff, I will stick to Liverpool half in future which is the best organised half.
