In short: Looking forward to next years event already.
In full: This was a lot better than I expected and I didn't find the last 3 miles along the road that bad. Really enjoyable and looking forward to what will hopefully be a better route next year.

In short: Nice start and finish. Hard last 3-4 miles road run. Water stations better than last year but not perfect.
In full: The start and finish of this race are great but of course where you really need the help at 10-13 miles there is scant public support because it's all busy main road - ie. not a nice place for supporters to hang out. The water stations were better than last year but still not as good as most previous SARHMs - give out either bottles or cups but don't mess about trying to pour water from 1/2 litre bottles into cups to give out, it takes too long. Of course will do it again though, as every year.

In short: Good for me as a first timer
In full: Tough run in from 10 miles as road is long ad straight. Not much protection from traffic in certian parts.

In short: Excellent for first timer
In full: My first half-marathon. Warm, friendly runners and spectators. Good route apart from last 3 miles with some hot sun, fast traffic and the odd couple of pedestrians / dog walkers! Thoroughly enjoyable - much better than I expected.

In short: Nice run with a great atmosphere in the park, plenty of support
In full: A nice run that is fairly flat, and not too hilly.

Scenery pleasant, but not awe inspiring. Plenty of water stations which appeared well organised

The atmosphere at the start and finish was brilliant, plenty of supporters chearing you on. I could've done with them at the lonely miles from 11-13 though!!!!!

In short: Good Day
In full: It seemed very hot on the road back to St Albans, but still manages to creep inside a PB (just). Thanks, Review.

In short: Good organisation, loads of water stations, felt exposed running on main roads which were not closed.
In full: A good race and very well organised. Friendly considering the number of runners. It is a shame that it is run at this time of year, it is always too hot. I also do not like running for such a long time on the busy Watling Street road. There is little shade and the cars are very fast with little protection for runners.

In short: Bettered expectations
In full: Right, not gonna get the negatives as the main part of my review unlike most other runners. I wasn't expecting it to have quite such a great communal feel which it did, all good spirits.
Great weather always a bonus, no problems in the line up either. Started bang on time.
Great feeling all around, it was a great atmosphere with all ages enjoying the day, loads of happy kids mixing with serious runners.
Plenty of water stations with great marshalling, lots of support from them (young and old), Police did well to block traffic too. Course is fast bar a couple of gradients. Scenery isn't great but will be different next year on new route.
The finish was great to be tunnel visioned by great cheering crowds either side of run in. Slight confusion on run in at end with Joe Public walking their dogs on the path by the swings in the park, I wasn't sure if I had gone the right way! Yes, traffic was marish but where is anyone on a rush on a Sunday? The smart people waited and chilled in the sun on the grass! Positive day, and I'm just mainly happy as I got a great time. If anyone to do with the organisation reads this, well done, for £12 it was well done, except I am jealous the kids medals were larger than ours!
