In short: second time running this race and will make it a 3rd next year
In full: Flat scenic and well organised. Local to me but I would travel as very enjoyable.

In short: Excellent organisation; Flattish course
In full: Well organised race by NSPCC. Course is flat in most parts though there are short undulating parts with underpasses. The gradual climb of a home straight was a little confusing as the inflatable NSPCC start/finish line had been moved so we had to do a lap of the field before finishing!

Good enthusiastic marshalls; 3 water stations; baggage well managed. Showers available too. Car parking short walk to start line. Very nice medal; energy bar, water and banana at the end. There were small pockets of locals supporting the race which was nice.

The forecast rain didnt arrive! Needed that!

In short: A great flat half course, ideal for first timers or PB
In full: My first half and really enjoyed it.

I liked the free choice of starting group based on your expected finish time. I'd previously done a few organised events where once signed up you were stuck in the group for that start time. Great if you're a regular runner but if new to running and training going well you'll end up stuck in a group far slower than your actual pace.

Well organised, good medal, decent post race snacks/drinks.

In short: Who knew Milton Keynes was so Scenic
In full: It would appear that once you get out of the car and take a walk (or run) around Milton Keynes it can actually be quite scenic. We navigated around lakes, parkland woods and canal paths. Not many city based races can boast that.

Gripes, I seemed to hit the first 3 miles too fast because once 1500 people funnelled onto the first red way route there was no room to manoeuvre as you are all squished within the 2 or three metre wide jam packed path. I'd also consider reversing the route, the only really hilly parts of the course seem to be in the final 4 miles, which might be a bit challenging to new runners and charity folk. But on the other hand, we all like a challenge don't we???

In short: Second year running this race, another PB.
In full: Love this race, it has a great atmosphere, is scenic and is well marshalled. Nice cool day too so didn't overheat.
Gripe time - I know some people register and don't turn up but when over 500 of the 1800 entrants have been given as "Not Yet Started" or a "Started and Running" one has to question the 'new' chip timing system. Time for me to get my own stopwatch maybe??
However, it wont spoil my memory of this race and, in the words of Arnie, "I'll be back".
