In full: Fabulous Poppy shaped medal. Great organisation with marshalls every where to cheer on ruuners. Sadly, just missed a PB but every thing else spot on. Date of review: November 11, 2012

In short: Well organised, scenic Race, can definitely recommend In full: Lovely, well organised, countryside race, with a number of mild undulations. Stewards were always encouraging and we had the sun shining throughout as a bonus. Good touch before the start with a 2 minute remembrance silence and The Last Post. Nice remembrance medals at the end too. Date of review: November 11, 2012

In short: Excellent local race, good value In full: First time runner of this race & having experienced the Great South Run two weeks previously I was looking forward to a smaller, better organised race. That's exactly what we got with the Stebbing 10 miler. Service at the start was a nice touch, would have been even better if folks had stopped their Garmin's from beeping during the silence! Course was a nice challenge, first mile & a half you went past the school, up & back down the high street. Then it was out around a farm, with a nice hill (more never ending than steep) at around 7 miles. Getting back into the village with 1k to go made for a nice finish, kicking down the hill & back up towards the school was a nice finish. Would have appreciated a water station between 2.5 & 6.5 miles, made managing energy gels difficult. On the whole though the race was well managed, perhaps chip timing for next year? Excellent value & the t shirt is unique. Date of review: November 17, 2011

In short: Nice, challenging course, good organisation. In full: Really enjoyed this race this year. The service beforehand was a nice touch, the organisation very good and the weather glorious. The course was just about completely traffic free the whole way round, and although generally flat has a nice challenging farm track section between 6.5 and 8 miles. Also - no more medals please!! In short: Great run, lovely scenery, will be back. In full: What an enjoyable run and the weather was a massive bonus. Don't often run in a vest in Mid November! Remembrance service beforehand made this run all the more special. Lovely route through scenic countryside with a few hills around 6.5 to 8 miles but still PB potential if you arrive in shape (I didn't!) Would definitely do it again - 2 gripes - 1 Minor - i.e. no medal, the other gripe sort out the car park field. This had a number of large holes (removed fence posts?, rabbits perhaps?) which were marked beforehand but not after the race. On the weary walk back to the car, I put my foot in one that was easily 50 cms deep and was lucky not to break my leg. Don't know why the markers were removed as the marshalling and organisation was otherwise flawless. Still a great event and I will be back next year - but watching where I'm going more closely. In short: Very good race. Well worth doing In full: Enjoyed this race very much. The course was varied with some good ups and downs. Marshalls were encouraging and there were enough water stations. The 2 minute silence and small service before was a nice touch. One small gripe and this relates to a lot of races I've done recently not just this one. No medal for finishers!! I understand the cost involved and when you do a lot of races it doesn't bother you that much. That said if people train specifically for an event and finish the race then I feel they should be rewarded with something other than a t-shirt. Date of review: November 14, 2011

In short: Fantastic 10 mile race on Remembrance Sunday In full: This year the race started with a brief church service and the race was dedicated to the fallen. This is very respectful and reminds runners of how lucky they are to be fit and well. Date of review: November 14, 2011

In short: Another excellent race day, thanks To Grange Farm and Dunmow Runners In full: Third time running this race. Lovely sunshine and unseasonably warm for November. Joining the service and 2 minute silence was a very moving addition to this event. The start, however, was very congested, it took me almost 20 secs to cross the start. Maybe worth chip timing in the future. Getting rid of the turn around greatly improved the route, and as ever a well-fitting souvenir top. A great, well- organised race. One I will keep coming back to Date of review: November 14, 2011

In short: One of the best In full: Well organised, lovely route, supportive marshalls, respectful minute's silence. The parking field could have done with a cut, and the weather wasn't the best, but the race is certainly one to do. Date of review: November 22, 2010
