In short: Good day out worth ther trip
In full: Well organised event pity not more variety but very friendly race , great goody bag and the towel was a great idea instead of a cheap t shirt to throw away at the start line of my next race well done

In short: Good PB potential although busy start and 3 laps meant faster runners caught up with slower runners

In short: A quick three laps round a park
In full: I was disapointed that it wasn't beside the seaside - would be fantastic to actually run along the seafront especially as we were so close!

The course was quite narrow, made for a slow start, although it all spread out nicely later on.

The goody bag was fantastic, got to be one of the best I've ever had. Love the towel! Though the make up was a bit random - we tried the foundation on the drive home and it was a very strange colour. Well worth the drive out though, and Southport was seemingly in the middle of pumpkin country, visited an ace farm shop on the way home which seemed like a bonus for leaving the city :-) Definately would do this one again.

In short: Thank goodness the Mexican Mice didn't lap me!
In full: The organisers obviously didn't anticipate someone as stupid as me running! The laps threw me completely! I got lost! The distance markers were also confusing for me!The wind took my cap off my head!I didn't like seeing faster and slower runners because I couldn't always work out who was behind and who was in front! I thought the 'Speedy Gonzalez' Mexican Mice had lapped me but they hadn't! Also, like many people, my goodie bag didn't have a towel because they had run out - but they promised to send one on to me. The make-up was exactly my shade 'though! Parking was also a bit of a problem and many runners will have got some kind of parking ticket if they parked on Rotten Row. I parked at Morrissons which had the advantage of a loo. Overall, probably just not my kind of race....

In short: Fun, friendly and fast.
In full: I just really enjoyed it and got a really good time (for me). Mile markers threw me, but I got over it. I liked the multi-lap plan: I liked seeing faster and slower runners as we passed and lapped, and it essentially tripled the crowd. The twisty-turniness and variety (open park, woods, roadside etc) prevented it being repetitive.

In short: Enjoyable race if a touch repetitive
In full: Radio, water bottle? Feeling like I've missed out here! Towel and nail varnish for me but was happy with that. Much better weather than last year but still the same puddle in evidence! Wonder if it's ever dried up? A lovely day out in the park and an enjoyable run. Slow start due to large contingent of runners but soon thinned out. Found 3 laps of the park a little repetitive - I'd love to run along the prom a bit. Would have liked a drinks station at the end, instead of having to use the one which was still in use for those still racing.
