In short: A great race to run
In full: It was so hot but managed to complete my first marathon. Liked having the relay running alongside the main event as all runners encouraged each other as they passed.
Regular water stations, marshals superb as were the people of Jersey who turned out to encourage us through the heat.Shame it was too hot for many who DNF.

In short: Well organised scenic marathon
In full: Growing marathon which is not flat. This year it was hot but plenty of water and Powerade available. Some nice scenery but also road traffic as roads are not closed but well marshalled. Encouraging locals and marshall help you along. Enthusiatic crowd at finish . Good quality medal and tech. T-shirt. There is also popular team 5 stage relay race run at the same time - if like me you have to drop out, drop out at a relay point and get a quick transfer back to the start/finish area. I was DNF but my wife got a PB - c'est la vie!!

In short: A great marathon course with atmosphere.
In full: A race designed to avoid traffic. One long four mile hill that is steep past lakes and autumns greenery.Inspirational scenary through a theraputic woodland that takes you all the way back down that steep hill with an eight mile decline between 12-21.The finish is along the beach and fast times are ensured as long as the wind abates.Excellent water stations 1/4 litre bottles of highland spring were appreciated.
