In short: Hill and pudding
In full: A quick jog around the block and then off up a sheer cliff (well thats what it felt like especially on the second lap!). Well organised and a fantastic snowflake medal and pudding! See you next year

In short: brilliant race despite the recent weather.
In full: a very well organised event despite the original being cancelled. the organisers were fantastic with the communication in letting us know that it was cancelled in advance and for re-arranging another date so quickly. lovely course but the hiil climb from the start is tough only because you know you have to do it again on the 2nd lap. stunning medal and great goody bag, well done to all involved with this event.

In short: Well organised and good fun.
In full: Fairplay to the organisers for getting this event rescheduled and operational. A good event with a cheerful atmosphere. The snowflake medal is a nice touch; much more appealing and imaginative than the norm. Just a thought, but Ashburnham place would be a great place for a summer run as well as this event.

In short: A great combination of road, cross country and hills set in fabulous scenery
In full: I really liked this event which was challenging but immensely enjoyable. The hill in the first mile is a tough going but it is followed by a long off road down hill section. The venue is in a fabulous setting and was almost worth the trip alone

In short: So pleased this took place
In full: After the disappointment of the race having to be postponed as a fun pre-Christmas event, it's well done to Martin and Cathy Burke for re-arranging the race. Some course changes this year in view of the weather, but hilly and tough as usual.

Lovely snowflake shaped medal and a goody bag at the finish, plus mulled wine and mince pies too. Beautiful scenery, even for this time of year. Course well marshalled, especially for those two small areas which still had some ice lying around - ignore the marshalls' instructions at your peril! You could also purchase food and drinks inside the centre, if you wanted to. There were childrens races too, very good to encourage runners of the future we hope. Roll on 2011, inclement weather or no inclement weather. Excellent.

In short: great race!
In full: fantastic scenery just a shame you can't take more of it in, having to navigate what can only be described as total off road !. This race has such a great atmosphere and deserves more entrants - if you like off road running, dancing, beer and laughs then its the ideal race for you !. (p.s. i fell over and i still loved it)

In short: Cold and slippy. My first race (so rated accordingly as I dont know any better!)
In full: A beautiful location, made more so by snow and ice covering the ground! My first ever race and Id hoped would have a "fun run" atmosphere, but most people seemed quite serious. I think this pushed me on though as I managed to finish in less than an hour, despite the big slow hill that killed me!

I didnt think 1hr was that slow - but by the time me and the remaining 3 finshed, everyone had pretty much gone home - so a bit of an anticlimax for my first finish line.

Anyway. I shall definately be doing it next year. The organisation of the race seemed good and the marshalls were encouraging and friendly.

In short: Challenging but enjoyable.
In full: The weather seemed out to cancel this race however it was able to go ahead (I had to brave the icy roads from Essex to get there).
this was a well organised race that was well marked and martialled. the grounds were stunning.
This was my first organised cross country run which was a challenge (I probably wouldnt have signed up if i'd realised, however it was enjoyable and i would do it again....... though the hill up the driveway was a killer second time round.
it's a shame the medals got held up in a depot as it would have been nice to get this on the race day.
good effort to everyone involved
