In short: Another great day, struggled up and down, running on empty along the Lakeside, but can't wait for next years to start. Determined to run the full distance in at least one.

In short: Wonderful series of trail races
In full: So pleased to have completed the series. All take place amongst stunning Lake District scenery. Great organisation from a very effective team but still manage to maintain a friendly atmosphere. ie childrens race and trail races for all standards. As previous reviews have stated the climbs are unforgiving in places but they don't go on forever and what goes up....... Just a mention for Pete Lashley, a very talented singer songwriter who has entertained us at every event.

In short: Tough but rewarding
In full: once you get up the first 4km this is fabulous run with spectacular views. The flat 3km run to the finish is reward for all the hard work.

In short: Very rewarding race after a tough first 4K
In full: Really struggled in the first 4k to get into any sort of rhythm. The steep ascents reduced most of us challengers to a walk. But then the remaining 11k made it all worth while, brilliant downhill sections, mud, water all within the stunning rugged surroundings of Coniston. I had never done a trail race before Hawkshead in May and have been hooked ever since.
As usual excellent organisation and brilliant support from the marshals around the course.

In short: Lots of aches and pains but worth it for the scenery.
In full: This was the first time I has taken part in this race and found the first 4km hard, so much so I walked most if it. After this it was great and everybody at the back with me was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this race.

In short: Agonizing bliss
In full: My first trail race, and a tough first 4km - the first time I'd walked in a race while still overtaking. Truly amazing views at the top, with some fabulous spine jerking downhills, the last 4km next to coniston water was a suitable reward for the previous 11km. Excellent organisation and a good weekend away

In short: Hellishly fabulous
In full: Steep climb at the start gives way to typical Cumbrian off-road stuff. Lovely scenery, great cameraderie and these guys really know how to organise events. Always catering for all ability levels, they are something special and despite the pain I wanna do it again!!

In short: Fantastic race in glorious setting
In full: Another fine event from the Lakeland Trails Team. Great course, especially the downhills and whilst I am always near the back, I always thoroughly enjoy these events. This is what running is all about for me.
