In short: Beautiful Setting
In full: My second year back. Having just returned from a long injury I wasn't sure if I could challenge my 50:04 from last year, but was shocked and amazed to go 47:44! One long gradual climb up to 5k, then a shorter steeper climb later, but a great last 2k downhill!

In short: Wet and slippery but known it tougher
In full: Reversed the course from the last time I ran it and makes for an easier more gentle climb. Conditions downhill between 5k - 9k a bit treacherous due to the amount of rain - also weather detracted from what I know is some beautiful scenery normally

In short: Hilly start, muddy surprise of a finish!
In full: The first half of the race was tough for me - a steady climb. But then I found the downhills hard as well as I am a clumsy sort and had to constantly work at keeping to a path where I wouldn't slip or trip over. I got very muddy!

In short: Great race, loved every step
In full: This was a great race, running through the castle and the entire course being in the private grounds of the castle made it awesome. If your a sucker for the momento at the end then this race has the best.

In short: BEST RACE I'VE RUN IN
In full: SUPERB RACE THIS YEAR 2008. THE SCENERY ON THE SECOND HALF WAS BEAUTIFUL AND TO CAP IT ALL RUNNING THRU THE LOVELY CASTLE. I THINK THE WEATHER ADDED TO THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. A UNIQUE MOMENTO AT THE FINISH TOO. WILL BE PERMANENTLY ON MY CALENDER OF RUNS FOR MANY YEARS TO COME
