In short: Very well marshalled couldn't fault them. We looked round course day b4, had concerns about going round entrance &exit of petrol station but u know they even thought of that coz they announced at start of race we were being diverted around back of
In full: Garage. Everything well signposted, from collecting chips, leaving baggage, parking etc, a must do race ! Rate it as 3rd best half for atmosphere & definitely higher up for organisation !

In short: THIS is how you organise a road race.
In full: Yet again Gosport Road Runners delivered a superbly organised race. From beginners to experienced runners, there's a welcome for you here. The best marshalling of any race I've done and a goody bag that puts professionally organised races to shame. Everything about this race has the hallmark of being organised by a running club which knows what it's doing. Well worth the entry fee, and a PB by more than 7 mins for me.

In short: Fantastic! Lovely weather added to an excellent run
In full: First time for me doing a half maathon, having built on a recent Great South Run. I know Gosport, so I know what the scenery is like, but its nice to see the views over the Solent from a different point of view. All round the course, the marshalls were friendly and helpful, pointing us all in the right direction. Water in cups - I need to practise that one, but again - superbly organised; with many thanks to the friendly guys with the wine gums at Mile 9+.
This was a PB for me being a first time, but I reckon I could easily shave a few minutes of this next time round, due to the excellent layout of the course. Is that a challenge.. YES IT IS! Hope to see you all again next year.
Of course, never has a capri sun and fruit cake tasted SO GOOD!

In short: e for PB's
In full: Don't let the marks for scenery put you off. This is a race for PB's not pictures. The course is flat, 80% traffic free and well marshalled. Extra credit to the organizers for the re-route at the garage. Marshalls were friendly and encouraging. Pre-race organisation (baggage etc..) was smooth and well organised. All in all a top race well done Gosport RR. Finally you do get a sea view in the last 2.5 miles.

In short: P.B Gold, Sun always shines, Friendliest marshalling anywhere and Moist home made ginger cake in your goody bag!
In full: This is a great race, I have run it about 6-8 times. It is very flat, really well marshalled and pretty hassle free in terms of arriving and departure. This year they had some lovely cake in the goody bag which is exactly what you want. The one thing that I would really like them to change is to have 1 isotonic bottled drinks station along the way(say mile 6-ish) as it is so hard to get anything from a plastic cup whilst you are running.

In short: seriously value for money
In full: Excellent event. Ran like clockwork. More marshalls then i can remember for a 13 mile course. Ample large water stations, not sure sure how person below can blame the stations for losing 10 mins off her PB, I beat mine by 14 mins! first half marathon i have completed on my own but loved it. Probably one of my all time favorites. Excellent goodie bag and medal and excellent weather and scenary. Hate the airfield but I guess every race has to have the mentally challenging bit. well done Gosprt Road Runners and all the marshalls you have done yourselves proud...definatley seeing you next year! ....and a real bargain for the price.

In short: Heard this race was a good one for achieving a PB and that really proved to be the case.
In full: Entered this race at short notice having it recommended by a friend. Very glad I went. This race is an absolute credit to the organisers and was a real pleasure to run.

Very flat and consequently fast, the lack of appealing scenery is more than made up for in every other aspect (and what's with the requirement for scenery in a race? Surely you should be concentrating on the job in hand not the surroundings?).

Organisation was superb - baggage drop very well organised in particular.

The medal had been thought about and was refreshingly unique and worth receiving.

The end of race was a text book illustration of military precision - medal, goody bag, drinks. And what a superb goody bag - that cake was awesome!

Don't let any review criticising the lack of scenery put you off entering this excellent race. We travelled from Bristol and it was worth every mile.

Thanks guys!
