In short: Great race, gorgeous scenery, really enthusiastic supporters who really helped! In full: I loved this race - the setting in Knole park was gorgeous (apart from the view of the steep hill the 2nd time around :) The supporters were excellent, although they were all congregated around the downhill slope towards the end and I could have done with them up the hill! The organisation was good but my one problem was that there was no bag drop near the start - I was on my own so had to decide exactly which layers to take off and leave on before I left the car park (and had to walk for 15 mins and then wait around a bit). Worked out fine but if it had been a bit colder it would have been a real problem. Loved the course - the hill 2nd time round was vicious (but not as bad as the hills in the Tnubridge Wells 10k, if anyone's done that!) but the flat and downhill 2/3 were really fast. I had my best 10k race to date - a race PB of 48:27 which totally made my Sunday and I want to come right back and do this race again! Date of review: March 12, 2012

In short: Scenic Challenging a very good race In full: Done this two out of last three years my only gripe is ONE water station on a 10K???? and placed on downhill slope after 5k the gradual descent at start and the hill are a killer a water station should be placed at about the 2.5 k mark where it is flat begins to descend this is stationed on the sevenoaks 7 run so not sure why the rotary club cannot do also on funnel it was bunched and i would thought runners would want a drink rather than a medal which i have many of!!! other than that of course i would do again but drink stations NEED an addition especially for the back runners as am sure they struggle with first 2k who wouldnt Date of review: March 12, 2012

In short: Very well organised, wonderful weather, race getting bigger every year In full: Thank you to Sevenoaks Rotary Club for organising the annual 10k in Knole Park. And to the marshals, St John's Ambulance, race sponsors and all the supporters cheering on the runners. Chip timing is a welcome new feature over the last few years. Two lap course, first 2km of each lap uphill, last 3 k flat to downhill with a steep downslope near the end. The field is bigger every year which means that the rotary club raises more money for their chosen charities. When the weather's this good, it's a wonderful morning out. Highly recommended. In short: Challenging but rewarding In full: Long drag uphill for first mile or with a cheeky steep bit near the end of it. Thereafter, nicely downhill before going around again. Very fast finishing section. Ground conditions were good but with a bit of rain could be quite different. Date of review: March 12, 2012
