In short: Hilly XC with varied terrain and lovely scenery.
In full: Fantastic race. The first half I've done for three years and it felt great. I far prefer running off road and enjoy the challenge of the hills [still can't see why so many people walk on the climbs though!]. Good atmosphere, plenty of friendly competitors happy to chat on the way round. The only down was a lack of communication on the location of the technical tops [if you ordered one] at the end - no one seemed to know where they were and it was only by luck that I found them up near the entrance to the showers and changing rooms. Showers were freezing too :P

Will definately be back next year... maybe for the full marathon if I can push myself to do the training :)

In short: Challenge and surpass your pre-conceived limitations!
In full: Loved it! Tough hills (especially that one up to Farley Mount), great scenery and fantastic marshalling throughout. Logistic nightmare but it worked so well - credit to everyone involved. The noise and support at the transition points were like running into a football stadium - fantastic and kept you going to the next one! Meeting the half marathon runners just outside Broughton provided mind challenge. Other than the minor blip with getting the marathon results out everything was just perfect. Well done to everyone, from organisers to marshalls to runners

In short: A really fantastic event. I did the half option, and even though it is uphill overall I had a great time. The hills were challenging rather than killers and the marshalling was great!

In short: Fantastic race....still buzzing
In full: What can I say. This is my tenth marathon, over a 13 year period. I have been to america and throughout europe. This had one of the most charming marathons I have ever done. The organisation was fantastic. The course was hard but it had everything. The relay stations had the feeling of a big city marathon and the scenary was breathtaking in places. well recommended! Although I do feel I was very lucky with the weather. my thoughts may of been different on a different day. Lucky I guess!

In short: Tough but worth it
In full: Really enjoyed taking part in the Relay Marathon for the first time. I found the hills on my section a challenge and the transitions were busy. However the event was well organised and the atmosphere and scenery were great.

In short: Great organisation and amazing scenery
In full: This is my "local" half as I live in Andover. Really good organisation and a great feel not one for the faint hearted but a great introduction to trail running. I hope to try again next year and this time arrive a bit earlier!
