In short: Continues to be a superb event
In full: 4th year in a row I've done this one. Speaks for itself. Great challenging course. Gets mixed up year-on-year. Wet or dry it makes for excellent terrain. Great marshalling, great organisation and great fun. Lots of heavy shading as well on parts of the course which is greatly appreciated when we get a sunny one. This is definitely one of the best trail HMs around the south.

In short: Exactly what a trail run should be
In full: In this game its all about the course and this is a cracker.

Lots of narrow tracks, steep climbs and descents, great views. There were some tricky bits around 7 miles which are very fun and well signed.

Good organisation on the day, good route marking and friendly marshals.

Really don't need to change anything about this race.

In short: Brilliant race
In full: I agree- scenery great / marshals supportive / well organised / tough
2 observations - I'm a novice at trail running and would have benefitted from some advice on shoes - my ordinary running shoes were unsuited to some of the very narrow slippery tracks and downhill precipices.
I made the 10 mile marker and subsequent were about .4 mile short? I guess this helped us - thinking we were closer to the finish !
A great morning run anyhow

In short: done it before, will do it again!
In full: This run, plus the Eridge 10miler and the North Downs 30K are my 3 favourite runs of all time! All hard but so rewarding to finish, and great scenery to boot - I love a trail run.

In short: A real test but a great race
In full: This is a race that has got all of the details right, from the administration/ parking/ toilets etc, to the excellent and supportive marshalls, the incredibly scenic location and a course which is hard but fair. A bit tricky this year with the mud but still a superb day out and one I look forward to next year.

In short: torture, but return every year for more
In full: Fantastic race, does not matter being a slow runner. I return every year for more punishment.
Thanks to all,

In short: Brutally hard! The uphills are tough, the downhills even tougher!!
In full: This was my first time running at Milland and it is a tough one indeed - lots and lots of punishing hills! However the fantastic scenery, and the fun and friendly atmosphere, more than make up for the pain! Be warned though - the downhills are very steep, and a little dangerous in places. This is proper trail running and the hills, and tricky conditions underfoot, make the event what it is - a very tough but extremely satisfying challenge for any standard of runner.

PS: Many thanks to the two medical students (and the fantastic marshalls) who assisted my mum after she took a nasty tumble down one of the aforementioned steep descents.

In short: Ouch! That was tough. A real mini Grizzly. A brilliant race.
In full: If you like mud, steep hills and plenty to trip you in a beautiful setting then you'll love this. Very well organised. Probably the best race in the world!
