In short: I did enjoy the race
In full: Very nice place to run, I did miss the water at 5k but it was not hot on the day. Good for PB I got one so will back next year. My Garmin made it 6.09

In short: Quick time soured by rumours
In full: I normally ignore Garmin users who claim a course is short, but I can't help thinking this is. I've mapped the run on mapmyrun.com and the turn is in a different place to where we actually turned. It backs up the Garmin users. Given the high proportion of big PBs, it seems the organisers have made a right royal c*ck up here, which is very disappointing.

If the course was the right distance it would still have excellent PB potential and I would still have broken my own best.

A bit of hypocricy from the organisers - no water station at 5k is in breach of UKA rules. Two runners DQ'd for wearing iPods, which despite the organisers claims, is not prohibited by UKA. However, I do agree with the no-iPod rule and the lack of water in February isn't a major issue.

The village laps were good - the last 2k felt much easier than the normal struggle at the end of a race.

Will run it again and hope that it get's officially measured again to either dispell the rumours, or correctly place the turn point.

In short: My favourite 10k
In full: Almost perfect conditions - warm but with a headwind on the return into the village.
The course has been tweaked a few times over the years, but I have to say that I liked it when it stayed in the village for three long laps.

Those who say the course is short are wrong.

In short: A PB course for sure - the course is short!
In full: Chose this race deliberately because of the fast times my friends have run on it. I ran a 2 minute personal best - but my Garmin measured the course as 9.71km. My friends also had short measurements on their GPS devices. Whilst I am very pleased with my pb, I feel I can't really shout about it as it's not the right distance. Is this course ever going to be remeasured?
