In short: If you want scenery - go else where!
In full: This race is about purely belting out the kilometres, not the scenery. I thought it was well organised - but I would question the chip timing. What happened to the chip timing at the start?? That would have made it more accurate. Apart from that the tshirt was a nice touch, the marshalls were friendly and the course is not hilly! It's all downhill from 3 - 8.5k!! Well that's how I saw it! :-)

In short: This was my first ever race back in 2007 so it is always a bit special. Well worth doing it again and again.

In short: Fantastic local race
In full: I've done this race for 3 years running but didn't do it last year. In the mean time I've done loads of runs including Tough Guy 2 weeks ago. I was aprehensive of coming back to this race but I loved it and remembered why it's one of the best local races around.

Ok the route might not be the most scenic but the marshals are the best around and the organisation is fantastic.

After many years of running I also did a PB today which is always nice!

In full: A great early season "pipe opener". Could have been a bit bleak had the weather got too wintry but, as it was, I really enjoyed this brisk, undulating circuit around a rural area. Nice to have a decently appointed base and slick, well drilled marshals throughout - they kept the cars at bay along the well-marked route, offered much-neeeded vocal encouragement and made pre-race registering and post-race goodie bag collecting a breeze. Didn't even have to queue for a loo, which must be a first! It all made for a rewarding, stress-free morning, and a highly recommended 10k - many thanks to 26.2 Road Runners Club.

In short: 26.great
In full: I'm currently wearing my finishers red t-shirt quite happily feeling satisfied with the race.
The race HQ is great, everything is well signed, manned and marshalled, results are already up thanks to the chip timing and it's a fast run, if challenging in a couple of short places.
Great atmosphere for club runners and alike.
My only quibble is that the For Goodness Shakes was 330ml, I do love my FGS and those 170mls you get in the store bottles was sorely missed!

In short: Friendly well organised race-lots of PBs set today!
In full: Great organisation from 26.2 as usual, thanks to the many marshals out around the course for stopping the traffic and their encouragement!
The school is a fantastic race base - plenty of toilets and nice and warm before and after the race. Great facilities and a lovely cup of tea post warm-down!
