In short: Another well run event
In full: Once again the wind was present and I am sure on a still evening this can be a very fast course, looking forward to coming back next month

In short: Excellent race, friendly atmosphere - 5k great for beginners.
In full: I really enjoyed this event, the organisers Purple Patch managed to create a friendly and cosy atmosphere. I think the venue for this event is hard to beat, ample parking, use of sailing clubhouse facilities (including bar afterwards) and great views across the lake to Windsor Castle in the distance. The perimeter of the lake looks foreboding and makes the distance (one 5K lap in my case)seem a long way, but only because you can physically see all of the course. Although circular it certainly didn't feel it when running and it was an odd experience seeing the start/finish re-emerging in the distance. It is certainly fast for an off road event (well drained trail) and on a still evening windwise is certainly pb material.

I would recommend this event to local running clubs for a great evening's running -followed by a social de-brief in the bar!

In short: Fast, flat, great views, well organised - a must do race
In full: Enjoyed this race again despite the last one being only 4 weeks ago. Very fast course, well marshalled, very clear KM markers. Just the one grumble - parts of the track / path were very stoney and uneven making you watch where you were placing your feet in a few places - but don't let this put you off.

In short: Good fun, very friendly and well run event
In full: Turned up a bit early so had plenty of time to look around. Very good facilities as they allow you to use the sailing club facilities. Bag storage good but NOT SECURE. When I went to collect my bag it was sitting in a room with the other runners just sitting around!
The scenery was actually pretty good for a race that has 2 laps, you run up high looking around the local area.
Would I do it again - yes most definitely.

In short: Super flat friendly race
In full: Great race, it really is as flat as a pancake, although it the wind can make it more of a challenge! It looks like way more than 5k round the edge of the reservoir when you look at it from the clubhouse, but it’s not that bad once you get going! Friendly atmosphere, with enough competitors to make it feel like you weren’t on your own, but not too many so there was no congestion
