In short: Well organised and route well laid out. PB potential and would definately do the race again
In full: The weather was a complete nightmare, with the hailstorm twice mixed in with very strong winds. But the course layout and atmosphere really helped the race through. I really enjoyed this one, beating the weather and getting a new PB makes the whole thing more worthwhile.

In short: Horrible weather did not stop me getting a PB! A challenging little run but a great training run for the marathon
In full: a very interesting change, great that it was traffic free and the undulating course made it a little challenge, a great warm up for a marathon run. It was fun to run the oulton park circuit as well - Weather from hell though as the sleet was driven hard by the gale force wind.

In short: 3 laps of a race track
In full: weather proved a challenge at times but enjoyed the use of the track to enable focus on pace, breathing etc & not looking for curbs etc. Few areas off track were difficult under foot. I felt a bit lonely though, needed to take my own suport, runnig partner :-( I now know why it was a PB... measured short. Gutted!

In short: Well impressed & got a PB
In full: Having read reviews from last year I wasn't expecting much but it seemed they'd got to grips with the organisation - plenty of parking, short walk to get a wristband and short walk to the startline (long enough to get warmed up).
No cars, kerb edges or street furniture to worry about on the wide circuit but there was a challenging couple of hills and tricky infield surfaces to focus the mind. I even enjoyed to wind/rain/hail as I'd got one too many layers on so it cooled me down. I'll be back next year.

In short: still some teething problems
In full: Great race and seems to be a vast improvement on last years comments however would say some marshalls needed to be more aware, had to STOP at water stations while the marshalls woke up. Says there were changing facilities, showers, where? Kids Entertainment, where? BUT from a runners POV - superb, deffo do this again!

In short: Nice wide track!
In full: Good race got a PB of 1:38, well pleased. Not tripping over anybody throughout the entire race.

Weather was horrendous, windy, hail and cold, but it was do-able and I enjoyed the challenge. I can feel it today though!

Goody bag at the end was a bit naff, but its usually just stuff I don't want anyway and the socks were pretty good. Has the potential to be a very very good race this.

In short: Could be a great 10k - Poor for a Half-marathon
In full: The course is dull and downright dangerous in places. A mixture of racing tarmac, grass with tractor tyre ruts, cinder track with big bits of cinder and mud trails with pot holes. Very bad for the ankles.

No chip timing this year either and accoring to my Garmin Forerunner the course was 12.99miles

A small number of runners and even less spectators made for a very lonely run.

One lap of the track and this could be a great 10k and could bring in big numbers of runners. Not one i'll be signing up for again.

In short: Was a bit daunted when the entire pack disappeared..
In full: I haven't run a half-marathon for 5 years, and frankly haven't done much (any) training in the preceeding months. My g/f persuaded me to turn up and I'm glad I did. I completed the course (slowly) and amazed myself by not coming last. I would do it again, but the organisers could do a better job of advertising the event. I live near Oulton Park (my reason for entering) and there was NO advertising in the local vicinity or press - that I saw.
