In short: Enjoyable, but significantly longer than 10 km.
In full: Many people reported that it was more than 10 km. My GPS measured 10.4 km, a big difference. The fact that no-one managed to finish in under 36 mins on a flat course in perfect weather seems to support this. Hopefully this can be sorted for next year, as it has the potential to be a great race.

In short: Good city run in and out of a park setting so both on and off road
In full: 1st time running this, flat course in a plesant setting. One or two climbs to get out of park but nothing extreme as short and should be able to get up in 1 go. Plenty of support along way and plenty of marshalls to guide you. I too found it long (6.4 miles). Cones in road so plenty of room to go past people and no bottlenecks on paths even on toe-paths by river.

In short: Fast and enjoyable, I recorded the distance well over 10k via gps watch.
In full: Great run, second year running it. Was a different but better route than last year. The only problem was I recorded the final distance at 6.44 miles and I overheard some other runners doing the same.

In short: Great crowd, very encouraging marshalls
In full: Really enjoyed this race - start hill is a killer, but once you are pastmit, lotsnof downhill to regain lost time. Great atmosphere, considering it was just after Christmas. Overall, a great atmosphere and enjoyable run - worth travelling 50+ miles for.

In short: Great on a clear day
In full: First time here. Enjoyed the location, perfect facilities, well marshalled, and a nice mug at the end.
The hill caught me out, as did the ferocious 2km downhill sprint afterwards!
Looking forward to trying the run again, but the other way around (with the hill at the start).

In short: Some serious hills - what goes up does come down ... rather drastically!
In full: What attracted me was the fact it was a series of 5 races on the same route once a month, so a really good chance to improve each time. The first hill was KILLER - never seen so many walking after about 1 mile! The big downhill was extreme too. All in all a very well organised event - happy marshalls, friendly staff and a momento at the end - a pair of running gloves. Lots of speedy club runners but everyone welcome - I was 3rd from last!
