In short: friendly, FUN very scenic, beautifully organised event - awesome! In full: Definitly on my list of best events and one to come back to. Everything about this run was brilliant and pretty much spot on in every way, including the weather! had a great day, enjoyed the comraderie of the runners, and the organisors and check point folk were just the friendliest in the world! I think its fair to say that Coventry Rocks!
In short: Superb, in all respects In full: My 2nd ACW, despite using many of the sections each week on training runs. This is a little gem of a race, and such amazing value. I have paid 3-4 times the entry to enter other races of a similar distance and this beats them all by far. Organisation is slick, volunteers and organisers are very helpful and the checkpoint refreshments are just great. A perfect beginners ultra. Lovely rural course, very little in the way of hills and possibly the most relaxed race Ive every done. Date of review: April 19, 2010
In short: fantastic race , everything about it was fantastic !! In full: the organisation, food, marshalls, scenery was just amazing I got roped into this at the last minute I normally would not jog more than a half marathon ! so to be able to do it was amazing I really didnt think I could jog for over 30 miles !! and march for the rest completed this in 10 hours 2 mins I was more than happy ... I will be back next year to knock a hour off that !! I loved it !!!! Date of review: April 19, 2010
In short: Fantastic! Perfect weather, perfect organisation and a new PB! In full: My second A Coventry Way and really enjoyed it. Great weather and underfoot conditions (last time it was mostly under water!). Very, very well organised, friendly and great marshalls. Very grateful for the extra water point after the canal section. And I improved my time by over an hour!
Looking forward to next year already! Date of review: April 19, 2010
In short: What a great day In full: That was fun! Well organised, great route and a easy to navigate by way of a map book and directions even I didn't go wrong. An absolute gem of an event and cheap as chips. Paid three times as much two weeks previous in another off road event which couldn't begin to compare to this. Anyone wishing to try an ultra should give this a go. No hills! Date of review: April 19, 2010
In short: A fantastic event. In full: I really enjoyed this, it's a good course, well organised and very friendly chckpoint people. The weather was a bit warm for me and I ended up jog/walking the last few miles, still a great day out. Date of review: April 19, 2010
In short: Fantastic organisation, scenery, weather and value for money! In full: Well, I've never run almost mon-stop for 33 miles before, but now I know I can! The baked-hard ground (often rutted in places or on a mean camber) didn't help much, but the sun was welcome! We ran-walked the last 7 miles and at no point did I ever think I wouldn't be able to finish, dpiste it being my first ultra. The addition of extra checkpoints to cope with the warm weather was definitely a good idea. Overall, a very friendly race, perfect for your first 40 miler - and thanks to my new friends Andy (Map-man) and Simon (Iron-Man) for making it a fun (!) day. I now ache in places I didn't know I had places! Date of review: April 19, 2010
