In short: Excellent race, definate PB potential . In full: Again a really well organised race. My whole group managed PBs. This years medal was a lot better than lasts years one, it was lovely. Great snacks for sale afterwards (tea, coffee, bacon rolls etc). Plenty of toilets. Acurately measured course and friendly marshalls. Prize draw at the end for a quality pair of trainers. Only thing I'd ask the organizers to consider is chip timing, but other than that it was excellent again and I will definately be back again next year ! Date of review: November 19, 2013
In short: PB in the bag! In full: Ok, this was mt first 10k race but after a mixture of 5k's and HM's this year along with all my training - this was my fastest time for that distance :D Really good organisation, slightly late starting due to the late car parking issues. Marshals really friendly. Only thing I didn't appreciate was my car being flyered and wedged down the drivers side window - if it was sunny i wouldn't have minded so much, but it was foggy and had that fine rain which made this flyer soggy and fall apart when taking it out. I had to dig what remained in the fine gap with a knife once home. Other than that - see you in 2014! Date of review: November 17, 2013
In short: Thanks to Grass Roots for another excellent event In full: Really enjoyed this event even though I didn't much feel like running on the day. Probably helped by nice sunny weather on the day.
Very well organised, with a friendly pre-race briefing from Steve Goulding. Thanks also Steve for encouragement at the end even though I ran a painfully slow time compared to my pre-injury days; even though it was a very flat course - definite PB potential in good conditions.
Good mix of runners, and nice to see team Ryan taking part. Nice for me personally to bump into an old friend at the end (sweaty hug time!)
Nice medal and jelly babies at the end. A t-shirt would be a nice addition but I understand this incurs extra expense and would be an organisational nightmare with so many entries on the day.
See you at the Rough n Tumble everyone. Date of review: November 23, 2012
In short: Very flat excellent PB potential In full: Situated just outside of Swindon in nearby Wroughton this is a great PB potential course due to its relative flatness and the knowledge you gain from the first lap going into the second. The atmosphere was perhaps a little lacking and their wasn't much scenery but the competition was great and I would recommend it. A goodie bag at the end may have been nice as well Date of review: November 22, 2012
