In short: Did anyone say muddy? Fantastic atmosphere, hills, mud, water, what more could you want?
In full: First time I have done this race. Challenging, but not impossible. Marshalls were really encouraging. Walked more of it than I wanted to, but will be back next year

In short: Brilliant fun, enjoyed every minute of it!
In full: Mud/bogs/near verticle hills, this was the first time that I have atempted anything like this and it was brilliant fun. Ran with a group of ladies and we had such a laugh, even though we were nearly the last finishers. Will definitely sign up again for next year!

In short: i completely forgot just how muddy this race was
In full: The mud really does make this quite a different type of challenge. Its not as hilly as hellrunner but the sheer quantity of mud and the physical effort needed to get out of it certainly makes up for it.

it is brilliant fun, from the sandy puddles to the muddy river bed to the 'up to the waist' bog which you have to pull yourself out of.

great goody bag and tech t-shirt

In short: It wasn't as bad as it was last year...
In full: Another excellent event. Whilst the entry fee isn't cheap, the goodie bag and tech t-shirt make it reasonable value for money. Was more enjoyable this year due to the slightly less dramatic conditions, although I'm still glad to have experienced last year's hellish proportions.

Makes the Hellrunner's Bog of Doom look like a bit of a puddle...

In short: Muddy, filthy fun
In full: Brilliant XC run with lots of mud. First 3 miles is pretty tame then you hit sand trenches full of muddy water. Then lots of mud thereafter. The final mile or so is deep mud but much easier than last year's (when everyone was having to pull each other out of the waist/chest bog!). 9 odd miles is plenty on this one. Great goody bag, t-shirt and parking is excellent.

In short: If you like to be have mud up to your nipples - do it.
In full: One of the best organised races of this type I have had the pleasure to take part in. Parking brilliant, right next to race area, the race itself has a good mix of faster sections and chest deep sludge and hills. Looking at the photos it looks like I'm trying to put Dynarod out of business. Well filled goody back, good technical T-shirt. Results service did what it says it does.

In short: A bonkers yet utterly brilliant race - not one where you are going to set a pb so enjoy the ride and mud - lots of mud!
