In short: Enjoyable Run, Muddy, A Good Way to Spend a Sunday Morning.
In full: Very enjoyable run, well organised and a moderately challenging course, especially with the mud, BUT it was way short of a 10k, i clocked it at 9.2k(5.8m) which is a bit disappointing when you think you've ran a good time. Overall though i enjoyed it and will be back for the next one.

In short: Mud, hills, water, grass, hardbase tracks, trees, a bit of everything for everybody, from the fast "professionals" to the slow first timers.
In full: Enjoyable friendly event and a good introduction to off road racing.I would recommend wearing trail shoes as the start area and the big hill are very muddy. Nice to run through the trees and the narrow tracks(makes overtaking fun but at least the trees keep the wind off you). There are plenty of twists and turns to keep your mind off the distance you are running, and by the end of lap 2 you are supprised you have finished. There is 1 water station at the start of the second lap and you find out how hard it is to drink from a cup whilst running! As a first timer to this type of event I found it great fun and a change from running on boring roads. Somehow, despite the terrain, I managed to take 2 mins off my fastest road 10km time. How did that happen!!! Can't wait for the next 2 events

In short: Muddy, hilly but good fun
In full: Expected better organisation that what it prooved, plenty of marshalls but they did not seem able to discuss routes or registration. Portacabin toilets only because of referbishment ot the building. But at the end of the day it was good value and great fun as the hill was testing and the must was novell to me, first time I've done this one but was told last year was muddier. Well chuffed with my time and I've looking forward to returning for the other two rounds next month. All time favourite? ....yes... but only because i've not done anything like this before
