In short: Good race for people wanting to run off-road and not in club cross country
In full: This is an open multi-terrain (actually cross country) race. Good organisation although the rain all-night rendered the field car-parking unusable so it was a bit interesting but they managed. THE hill was also even more slippery than normal. However very pleasant run through woodland and park and the commentator keeps the spirits up at the end. Also with a choice of 5, 10 or 15km it gives scope for everybody, from the beginners at 5km to the people in marathon training at 15km. Well worth giving a try.

In short: muddy fun - just what off road running is all about!
In full: Surprised I managed to stay on two feet going up the hill and on the loop behind the finish area with all that sloppy mud. Good undulating course. Looking forward to round 3.

In short: Non stop rain so the muddy hill was even slippier than I had been told it would be.

In short: Muddy fun
In full: My first race and it rained! The course was ok for a beginner (even with the very muddy hill). Undulating is a good description - not too hilly. Marshalls all ok for the 5k. Nice to get a medal. No proper storage facilities. Overall good fun.

In short: and I thought I was fit....
In full: I have never expended so much energy trying to stay upright (other than after a good drink!). If my feet slid to the left, then they slid to the right. One step forward and three to the side...but don't be put off this was a great experience for a first timer at multi-terrain and I found muscles in my legs that the road running just doesn't find. Not to be put off I'll be there for round two! I have a new PB at multi- terrain to beat!

In short: great fun
In full: A nice course. Only negative point is not enough marshalls. By the third lap most seem to have dissapeared. Lucky I remembered the route from the first lap.
