In full: First Half Marathon and as an F1 fan i thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice course even thogh repair works were taking place, reasonbly flat so a good chance of a pb.

In short: really good it felt like a big race but with lots of space.
In full: The wrist bands with your target time on and a breakdown of splits were really good and combined with the clocks every mile made keeping track of my pace easy considering I forgot my watch. A bit hillier than I thought it would be but still knocked 11 mins off my last half marathon time.
The car park was a nightmare didn't get out foe an hour and a half which kind of messed my plans up.

In short: Not as exciting as all the pre-race hype had made me think it would be.

In short: Ideal race for beginers.
In full: Good points:
Brilliant organisation,
Friendly atmosphere,
Good goody bag, people seem to be 'complaining' about the size of the t-shirts? for an xl it isn't that bad, obviously too baggy for the stick insects.
Timing at every mile was very handy.

Bad points:
I spend 5 days a weeks on a building site, I run to get away from it all, so was a little peeved to find myself running round what can only be described as a dump.
Annoyed that we didn't get split times.
Conjested in places, got tripped up twice.

In short: well marshalled, shame about the hills
In full: I have participated for the last 3 years, this one was by far the windiest and the change of course giving unexpected hills were noted. The last mile was the worst.

In short: Good warm up race for London
In full: This is the first time I've run Silverstone and it was much hillier than I was expecting so don't go along assuming its a PB course as that and the wind will slow you down. Yes the course was cramped at some points due to the building work but I've seen alot worse on other runs.

No problems with parking as headed out of the circuit immediately after finishing and the roads were completely clear.

Will be back next year better prepared for that last mile!

In short: Enjoyable first half marathon
In full: Really enjoyed this, my first half marathon. Very well organised. The winds on the last mile were a bit of a killer but made it more of a challenge. Would recommend it!

In short: This course has PB potential and a must for first time runners
In full: This course has PB potential and is a must for first time runners. Marshalls were exremely friendly and the timing clocks were an excellent idea.

Was very windy but this was expected being it on a Motor racing circuit Spectators were not too bad either just enough to encourage you around the course.

One slight problem were the T-shirts, so cannot really complain, would definetley do this race again.

In short: Course more interesting than I expected it to be
In full: Great atmosphere, particularly at the beginning. Course like Spaghetti Junction - runners could be seen for miles and in every direction - weird. Thought it would be boring but it was awesome.

Good PB potential if you get your strategy right, but could be disastrous if you get it wrong as you could run more than 13.1 miles if you take your eye off the ball.

Proper toilet facilities made a refreshing change from the usual portaloos.

In short: Boring boring run.Hopeless as a pre BIG EVENT pre London
In full: Brilliant organisation .
Great marshals and friendly runners .
Felt really good BEFORE the race.
Dreadful to run with supporters behind steel wire bars .
Supporters really confined largely to first 1/2 and last 1/2 mile .
No atmosphere at all due to course situation .. race tracks are meant for racing cars not people .
For the first time ever ever in a race I really wished I`d brought my music .
Sunny and windy .. that`s all fun and part of the deal ..
Hopeless Tshirt .. didn`t actually even see an XXL or even an XL runner... ! whose idea was that T shirt or were they the left overs they couldnt sell so they printed Silverstone on .. ?
But the run .. well left me bored to tears .
No I won`t be going back and can`t recommend it at all.
