In short: Great atmosphere, challenging slopes - great day out
In full: I wish more races would put the fun runs / kids runs on after the main event, rather than starting at the same time - it lets parents do the race AND encourage the kids to race by running the funruns with them.My 2 boys look forward to this all year, and despite the rain, its still a great day out. Thanks Reg & Karen

In short: Not a PB, but a course PB at least!
In full: It was a glorious day, but not as hot as last year so it was a course PB for me. That said it was a lot slower than my road PB, but I expected that.

The organisation was great as usual - thanks Reg and Karen.

If you like the course but fancy a greater challenge come back on December 5th for Edwinstowe 10k. Last year it was a freezing, icy mudbath but still fun!

In full: Great organisation from 2pointb. Course was mildly challenging, managed a 10K PB. Very enjoyable morning out for the family with a very pleasant start time. Kids enjoyed the fun run. Thank you to all involved.

In short: Pleasantly located, well organised and good value undulating trail run
In full: Very nice location in Sherwood forest. The course is up and down but has no major hills and is all on stoney trails. Expect to be at least 1.5-2 minutes slower than on a 10k road race. Faultless organisation. Highly recommended, a nice change from road races.

In short: An enjoyable experience!
In full: We happened to be in the area this week end, so decided to see if any local races were being run!I'm glad we decided upon Sherwood Pines. It's not a pb course but the fact it's a trail race should tell anyone this. However, it's traffic free, run on a great surface and reasonably challenging. Certainly good value for money. If we happen to be in Nottingham this time next year . . . we'd do it again!
