In short: Fantastic race! All you could ask for trails, mud, ponds and hellish sand.
In full: A good race well organised, the course is challenging but not too tough for the beginners, A nice change to the usual road race. A great goody bag with t-shirt DVD and washing powder! Showers were hot and vwey welcome (if a liitle communal)I have recommended this race to others for next year!

In short: Fantastic fun, some wading and clambering rather than running at times!
In full: A cross country race with a few nice (in hindsight!) twists. Would recommend it to anyone who thinks running is boring.

In short: Too crowded
In full: Great race and a long time cleaning up, but no chance of running freely if you start slow, way too crowded.

In short: Roll on 2006
In full: Longer course, deeper mud, softer sand, wetter water!! It just gets better and better. For the less competative a good sense of cameraderie emerged from the mud!!
Thanks Trailplus.

In short: Mud Mud And some Deep Goo thrown in for good measure.
In full: Bit crowded at the start. Could have done without the barriers to tiptoe round. Thought it was going to be one of those contrived races with nets and climbing walls, but was pleasantly surprised to find some lovely woodland tracks and some stiff sandy hills. Great fun, except for the sand dunes at the end-a bit extreme.

In short: Top fun! Hard work but worth for the smug sense of self-satisfaction at the end.
In full: Tiring and hard work to pace yourself not having any distance markers. That aside, one of the most enjoyable races I've done all year and certainly harder than last year. Shame I can't find any pictures of the mud ... that bit was just nuts!!
