In short: Definitely undulating. Well organised.
In full: My first half, organisation was very smooth. Seemed quite clubby at the start. Plenty of supportive marshalls, water stations were excellent. Said "gently undulating" on the paperwork, but was more undulating than most by general concensus. Traffic bit annoying, especially a couple of frustrated tractor drivers. Nice goody bag.

In short: A Very Pleasant Evening Out!
In full: An undulating course, as described - the downhills more than made up for the hills. Yes there was traffic but ample signs warning drivers. To shut the roads would make the race a whole different ball game - and much more expensive. The marshalls were helpful and cheerful as were the water marshalls. A very plesant trot out through some lovely countryside. A first time for my friend who really enjoyed herself. Much preferred to the big Bath and Bristol races. And a lovely goody bag at the end.

In short: Nice race along country lanes.
In full: The nature of the start (away from HQ down a narrow country lane) made it difficult for runners to get into a reasonable "time order".

The route was well marshaled along country lanes & although these were open to traffic there were plenty of signs warning drivers. I had one incident with a milk tanker being driven very aggressively but you can't really blame the organisers for that.

Bit odd to have to go and search for the goody bag at the end.

All in a good race & nicely organised - good facilities at the sport centre.

In short: Dangerous - course must be changed or roads shut to traffic
In full: I'm sorry to complain because I know a lot of people put a lot of effort into organising the race and in many respects the organisation was very good. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to make quite a serious point about safety. The country lanes are extremely narrow in places. Very large vehicles were using the roads at the same time as the race. At one point there was almost a 'pile up' of runners who couldn't get passed a narrow section at the same time as a seriously large agricultural vehicle. It would only have taken a stumble from a runner at the wrong time for someone to have ended up underneath the mammoth wheels of these vehicles.

The main reason I enter races like this is not to have to worry about route planning safety, etc, so I do feel seriously let down in this respect. I hope someone takes these concerns seriously in organising next year's race.

In short: Ok race
In full: This race was organised pretty well, to start away from the spectators is a bit strange and thought for the time of year a fourth water station ideally with bottles is needed. Although the people manning the available water stations were superb so thanks to them. Course is very up and down but quite dull route and tonight once the people spread out it almost felt like a training run. Nice medal and nice goody bag and thought the chip timing was good touch as well. Not sure if I will venture back for next year.

In short: Tough Race - but very dull
In full: Its my local race, but thought it might be uninspiring running through the lanes - and it was! No scenery, but trees & hedges, a few spectators dotted around the course, few marshalls, but not much to lift the spirits on a tough course, that is very up & down, but not unmanageable. The organisers did a fair job, ran smoothly, well signed, though the start line being halfway up a lane wasnt appreciated by the spectators, who couldnt watch. The only way to improve this race is to move it, would be great to have it back in the town, but understand its not that easy. Sorry to say, I wont rush back until it is.
Great goody bag, nice medal, so not all negative.
