In short: Well organised and glorious scenery In full: Fanastic race, very muddy and hilly in parts, but that just added to the fun. Likes the water stations with there selection of goodies. Unless you love mud and hills, probably best to slow down and enjoy the glorious autumn scenes. Date of review: October 21, 2013
In short: Mud, hills and chocolate - what's not to like? In full: Pretty steep hills, very muddy, very challenging in places and the possibility of getting lost. Absolutely brilliant, very friendly, beautiful scenery. The first mile and a half is uphill, made up for by being down hill on the last mile and a half. If you love muddy uphill and woodland tracks this is the race for you. Lovely place to register with real toilets. Date of review: October 21, 2013
In short: One of the most challenging but most enjoyable races I have done! In full: Brilliant race! Organisation was superb, lovely marshals, brilliant course, beautiful scenery, nice t-shirt and mars bar at the end, real toilets and a great atmosphere. Just wish i had known how steep the incline were! Date of review: October 21, 2013
In short: 10 mile hilly challenge with rewarding views In full: Another well organised event from Alan, Nicky and the Events To Live crew. First opportunity to run this, after spending a few years supporting my wife. I now appreciate what she faced between Mile 7 and 8. Lots of respective to all who finished. Plenty of vocal support all the way around - thanks to the marshals and girl guides - pleased it stayed dry for all of of you. Hard challenging run but the organisers and fellow runners are very welcoming and supportive. Not a PB course, you dont run this for that but excellent for those wanting a true test over 10 miles - more taxing than a flat half marathon. Bring on The Three Molehills!
In short: A great race In full: A real mixture! The start is a long slog up hill to Ranmore on hard paths, then onto the undulating section through muddy, slippery trails. Then a lap round Westcott before sloging back up to the top of Ranmore. That last 200m between the gate and the water point was nasty, just too steep! Then a bit of flat followed by about 1.5 miles downhill to the finish. Great race, great atmosphere, superb views (if you could look!) and the organisation was spot on. As ever the marshals were great. I'll be back. And thanks for organising the weather - dead lucky! ;-) Date of review: October 20, 2013
In short: Fantastic race! In full: Another well organised race by Events to Live! Very scenic route (though tough - especially the high stile at mile 5), fantastic cheerful marshals, well stocked water stations and a handshake by the event director as you charge over the finishing line. Has one of best finishing downhills - just under 2 miles downhill. Fabulous!!!! Date of review: October 20, 2013
In short: Hilly, Muddy & Hard for a beginner (me) In full: Long hill at the start then ups and downs for a long while, the at about mile 7 oh my god a massively long hill that gets ridiculous right at the top, then the long run down again, i loved it (in hindsight lol)oragnisation awesome but i would expect no less from the wonderful people at Run to Live :) 3 water stations with jelly babies and gels etc. drinks and a selection of chocolate bars at the end and the t-shirt is very nice Date of review: October 20, 2013
In short: Lovely run across the North Downs. In full: A well organised race starting in Denbies wine estate with plenty of Marshalls and three water/gel stations.
Lots of encouragement from the marshalls who were very friendly as well as a few locals dotted around the course. The only gripe I have (and this is personal taste) is that there was a bit too much tarmac. It was otherwise a great day good value for money with a nice race T-shirt at the end too.
