In short: What a great race. Glorious run out in the sun.
In full: Great marshalling and very friendly. Forget the net though, it wasn't an advenbture race was it? Last river crossing very conveniently placed for leaving yourself cleaned up ready for the finish line photo.

In short: Glorious spring run
In full: A beautiful sunny day and the first part was a long climb up and up through bluebell woods before a short steep descent along a road from which we doubled back up steep and rutted tracks. The three large "puddles" and river crossings were not quite waist high as someone suggested at the beginning. Personally I would prefer not to get wet feet as it makes them more susceptible to more blistering than I already have. Anyway I found the marshalling very supportive, helpful and encouraging especially at these water spots.

In short: Monster Hills, Bluebell woods, friendly marshals and 5 places to get extremely wet.
In full: The race started with a set of seemingly endless monster climbs made through woods covered in bluebells. At about halfway there were trails to follow that had been made by 4x4s up and down a steep hillside, and near the bottom of the hill a 20metre long puddle that was thigh deep. My only critisism of the whole race is there was a 'tough guy' crawl through that bit, which seemed contrived. I was running with my dog, who had to swim! Before we left the woods there were two more deep puddles, where the dog had to swim again.
In the last two miles we had two river crossing, both thigh deep, so more swimming for the dog. The last was only 200m from the finsh so we ended relatively clean.
It was extremely well marshalled and marked, the course was tough, the marshals were cheery and Spice and I had a great time.
