In short: It was wet, windy and muddy. Terrific little race.
In full: This is a great small event at the beginning of the year, flat course, well organised and the weather didn't manage to put off those that wanted to get out and run. Well done Springburn Harriers on putting this event on and the marshalls for being out there in the rain.
the results were emailed out the same evening. Nice touch!

In short: Wind, rain, mud and puddles!
In full: A well organised 10k up and down the Forth & Clyde canal. Fast time possible if conditions are good and get a fast start in the first km. Lots of good club runners around in a friendly race.

In short: Glorious mud!
In full: I love this race at the best of times, and this year was even more fun with all the mud, puddles and rain to contend with! Made a nice change from pounding the ever-predictable pavements. I'll bring my trail shoes next year just in case. Well done to the organisers especially the marshalls who were bravely out on course.

In short: Good race, flat course canal provided nice scenery, just need to tweak organisation slightly ie mark start more clearly and get distance markers right

In short: fine race for the start of the year
In full: this was my first time running the jack crawford and it was a great day altogether. Well marshalled, a nice flat and scenic route along the canal and good facilities. only gripe is that the first few k and the last followed a very narrow route which made it difficult for over-taking. Otherwise all good, and will definitely do it next year.

In short: great race
In full: strange distance markers but I'm sure everyone realised they were a bit out. Great race atmosphere and well organised with good support from the few marshals on course. Great support elsewhere too. Quite a short area after the finish line but the time recorders were spot on. Thanks to the springburn harriers for a super race at only a fiver a skull....nice one!
