In short: A friendly and very well organized 'Flatish' half-marathon with real PB potential
In full: A nice suprise this one. No big crowds or even bigger queues. The small entry / field obviously helps and I was made up with a PB - the course is what I would call flat although the info says 'undulating' ; there's the odd bump over a bridge but nothing severe and the signining / water stations / marshalling / overall organization was first class.

In short: Very PBable if you kept training through December!
In full: Enjoyed this last year and it seemed even better this time.

This year the race was well signposted and there was plenty of parking near to the village hall base.

A lttle bit of ice at the start but it soon thawed as we wove our way around the hamlets and country lanes. Just 2 water stations, one with bottles and the second with cups. Plenty of (expressionless) marshalls and signage for a smallish field mixed of good club athletes (including a fair few from Scotland), unaffiliated and `crazies` starting their New Year fitness regime in earnest.

Nice medal, drink and chocs at the end plus a PB for me for the second year running at Catforth! Not many quicker courses around in my opinion and so a good option for beginners or those looking for an early season time.

In short: Well organised, flat, scenic half marathon
In full: Very impressed with the organisation of this small half marathon. Well signposted, plenty of parking. Start was on time, excellently marshalled, around country lane amidst farm land, good weather for it, 5 mins off PB as nice and flat. well done the organisers - great for first timers too.
