In short: Mud, Hills, Water and Pain!
In full: Ouch!

Enjoyed this race. The start was right next to the start line which is always good.

The start of the race is interesting, after 100 metres you hit the water, which was a little cold and shocked the legs. Shortly after you hit a big hill. The course was obvioulsy very muddy and nearly lost the shoe on a number of occasions but it beats road running every day of the week.

Did a lot more walking than I thought I would but still managed 30th place.

Nice medal, the only thing that needs sorting is the walk from the finish to the car park and perhaps the organisers should consider switching the finsh from the castle to the start area.

Oh yeah 6 miles, I don't think so!!!!

Will be going back for Icebreaker in Feb.

In short: Hell, but in a nice way!
In full: As the others have said...mud, mud and more mud.

The course is hard and at times I wondered what I was doing running it. But the end was great with the kids calling out for a 'Bellyflop'. It made my day. The medal was unique, and the T-shirt was the best I've had in ages.

I will be back. Thanks

In short: Hilly, muddy but great fun
In full: Tough race expecailly that first hill right at the beginning. Talk about chest burning. Never seen so much water or mud in one place before and nice touch with the obstacles, especially the lake at the end. Definately be back next year!!

In short: At least we had been warned! Better to do as part of a team. Tough Guy material and everyone seemed to enjoy the muddy bits. Shame I got lost finding way back to car park from the hose-down area.

In short: mad
In full: lots of hills, mud and water. The race this year followed a long dry spell, I hate to think how muddy it would have been in a normal October. Nice goody bag. A vast range of competitors from the ultra fit to the first timers looking for a dirty experience.

In short: Tough, wet, very muddy and great fun.
In full: The hils were steep, the mud was knee deep and there was even a little refreshing drizzle. It's hard but enjoyable. If you like Tough Guy, you will love this.
Really good T-shirt and "medal", presumably made at the local pottery.
I suppose it is a bit expensive but I doubt if you can run round the Land Rover testing track any other time so a special experience.
